Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is New Zealand’s most compelling visual arts experience, with a collection numbering over 15,000 works.
Look for the fossils encased in the floor tiles.
Who Shot Rock and Roll is pretty cool!
The new gallery is great and it's mostly free.
Activity Centre is pretty much just colour pencils n paper, couple stencils.
Visit at an obscure time otherwise expect cues.
Degas to Dali exhibition is simply wonderful, although don't expect to see much of Dali. Worth a visit even if you are not into art
Check out the architecture - what beautiful spaces they have created - love it!
Amazing how faux Chateau seems to be a perfect fit
check out the cafe!!! great food and service!!!!!
For a building of culture some people should learn how to dress appropriately and get some culture prior to going inside.
Very good Victorian art at 2nd floor.
Do the free tour, everyday at 11:30 and 13:30
I meant the Victorian & NZ stuff are primo.
The NZ & Kiwi stuff are the best.
Great place to hang out in the city!
Spent my best time in Degas to Dali exhibition:)
The Who Shot Rock & Roll exhibition is so good! It's on until the 3rd of March. Get amongst it!
Don't bother with the Walker Prize exhibit. It's awful. Totally the emperors new clothes.
Visiting the new library today I can't wait. Will share.
Have a coffee there :)
It looks great after the big reopening a couple of months ago. Worth visiting!
