They have one of the best parang curry. For vegetarians do try the chive dumplings. The fried fish is a must order too. The staff is friendly and service is quick.

Great food. Great service. We had our first visit today and will definitely be back. We tried the E-Sarn sausage, Larb salad and Panang curry with crispy pork. Everything was very, very tasty.

Ask for Thai spicy for your papaya salad. It was amazing, just like having it in Thailand.

Raw shrimp: despite nyt rec, not so great for someone who doesn't like sushi; panang curry and crab meat fried rice were awesome.

    Nahmoo · September 21, 2014

This place gives Sripraphai a run for it's money for best Thai in the city. Everything is outstanding. Don't order a dish extra spicy unless you mean it.

The small size of the restaurant often mean waits are inevitable, but dishes such as the raw shrimp, somtum, grilled pork, and fried red snapper are all tasty and reasonably priced.

    Lori Luo · August 11, 2014
  • Douglas Elliman

A very intimate décor with reasonable prices and great service. We truly think the panang curry duck is the best we have ever had! It was tender and cooked to perfection.

    Douglas Elliman · July 22, 2014
  • Jeffrey

Get raw-shrimp salad, redolent of lime, garlic; panang duck curry, with its pinpoint calibration of sweet, sour, and spicy; crisp, lacy catfish salad; mango sticky rice, a dissertation in ripeness.

    Jeffrey · July 20, 2014
  • Christine L.

Authentic Thai eats in the heart of Elmhurst. Make sure to order a beer to cool down that tongue.

    Christine Liang · July 20, 2014
  • Lia K.

Crispy catfish salad -- that's where it's at. Order mild tho, it will still have some kick.

    Lia Koo · June 24, 2014
  • Jacky C.

Raw shrimp salad is so spicy but pretty good. Jungle curry is bland.

By far the best Thai restaurant in all of NYC. Better than Sripapaya and Spicy Shallot across the street can't even compete. - Duck Panang Curry, Papaya Salad, Pad See Ew my faves.

Tendon soup is perfect for cold weather (get it dark-with blood), it is a bit sweet. Snapper special larb style was awesome! Eat the bones-like crispy fish doritos.

If you trekked out this far from the city, Ayada was a much more satisfying meal than SriPraPhai. The fried snapper special reminded me of local meals on the beaches of Khao Lak and Mai Khao.

Seriously,,,, the best chicken pad thai EVA!!!!!!!

Great Thai fare with an expansive menu. Some of the best dishes are hearty ones, like rice cooked with funky shrimp paste, Hainan chicken, or a fried watercress salad.

    Catfish and eggplant. OMG.

The food is well flavored, albeit unapologetically spicy! I went with the highest of expectations, yet they had exceeded them. The NY Times review was well-deserved.

Compared to Sripaphai: smaller portions, a bit pricier w/ the duck, BUT BETTER TASTE! YUMMY! & the spice so good.

Duck curry was great. Enjoyed the raw shrimp salad (had to take some chili off as a tad too spicy for us, but very tasty and fresh). E-sarn sausage was good but we would try something else next time.
