It's free! BMA is undergoing a major renovation for their 100th birthday, but the museum is still open and still worth a few hours when you've got the time. :)
Cone collection is phenomenal
The sculpture garden is so serene.... There is a shaded area with benches where you can sit and admire almost the entire garden at a glance... Birds are chirping .....
iTunes U has an audio tour of the Sculpture Garden for download to a smart phone. And www.gomobileartbma.org has an audio tour of the Contemporary wing you can listen to on your cell phone.
There is art here, see it.

$7 guided group tour is well worth it. Our docent, Rachel, was excellent.

Celebrate Kwanzaa Day Dec 28, 2011 with a special performance by Keur Khaleyi African Dance Company and fascinating stories brought to life by actress Maria Broom at the BMA!
They have stools for students, but you can't use charcoal.
