        Expensive bagel,, but worth it.. ~100 years old family place has retained its authenticity thru all generations. My favorite is Novia & Sable on toasted bialy w/scallion cream cheese, onions & capers!

        Breakfast - Pastrami Omelette w/ Horseradish Cheddar & Everything Bagel. Lunch - Triple Decker #7 Turkey, Pastrami, Cole Slaw and Russian Dressing. Perfect serving size, not tacky like Carnegie's.

        Their whitefish salad tastes more like celery than fish. On my $14 salmon & cream cheese sandwich they put the TINIEST "shmear" of cream cheese; it was pathetic. But at least the salmon's delicious.

        The right thing to do at Barney Greengrass is to order eggs scrambled with onions and sturgeon, which is the house specialty. If you hate white fish, the smoked salmon is also really, really good. Read more

        Definitely order from the Barney's specialties menu they are heavenly! Any combo of one of their smoked fishes and scrambled eggs and onions is the best in the city!!!

        Doughy bagels are outstanding. Bites similar to a pretzel. Make sure you fill that bagel with the best smoked sammy in the city. 16.00 for this bad boy so bring your wallet. Well worth it.
