Amazing day wonderful place
Great place to cool off
Hop on a b-cycle on a hot day and head out to this natural spring.
A mix of man made and nature makes this the perfect place to relax on a winters night. Less than 10 people in the whole pool area allows you to relax on the rock and listen to the running water.
Best place on the lake to rent from. Customer service orientated and great trip to Barton springs from there
An Austin must see. Bring a floatie and do some people watching. Cash only, gets very crowded when it's nice out on the weekend.
I like it, waters always cold, but there are SO many people and the free side is eaten up with too many unsupervised dogs.
Stunning. As a tourist I do suggest walking afterwards to chuy's for margaritas & an uber back to town.
Closed on Thursdays! 😒
Great family park and swimming area.
Nice pave to relax and cool off on hot summer day:-)
Full moon swimming, especially in Pisces
Awesome natural spring!

No food! But there is a refreshments kiosk nearby and they'll stamp your hand to come back in.
So cold but soooo great!
Refreshing on a hot Austin summer
A perfect pause during our trip to Austin. Grab a spot in the shade or in the sun and take a dip in the pool every so often to beat the Texas heat.
If it’s warm outside (especially in the summertime), Barton Springs is a great getaway from city life and fun outdoors location for relaxing, tanning or swimming in the spring water pool.
Never forget to bring friends here
Go at night! Free after 9PM.
Bring water shoes so you can walk in the river bottom more easily.
$3 to swim and sun and you can come in and out all day with a hand stamp equals best way to beat the heat ever.
I can't think of anything better to do in Texas in August than swim here. It's like AC for the pool.
This is one of the best things to do in Austin ! I love here
Awesome place to swim. Surely Shrinkage for men....
The pool is closed for cleaning on Thursdays.
Definitely the go-to hang out spot for Austinites during the summer. There's a mixed crowd, but its always a good time.
Imagine... There is so much water in here that it would fill the entire Barton Springs Pool
If you are going to swim laps do it in the morning, there will be less debris and fewer collage kids. Also, if you go ahead and swim 4 laps, (8 lengths), you've done a mile!!!
Heard it's topless from the locals but didnt see that in action. They clean it every Thursday! Beautiful people and lots of sweet tattoo exposure. Best way to break in my first trip to Austin!
This spring-fed natural pool has a year-round average temperature of 68 degrees F. Admission is $3 for adults. Feel free to bring your own gluten-free picnic!

It's VERY slippery along the moss-covered boulders. I slipped and smacked the back of my head on them. After EMS chauffeured trip to ER- concussion. BE CAREFUL!
