What an amazing urban find! Never seen anything like it; absolutely an incredible place to spend a hot day in Austin.
An amazing natural swimming pool
Large swimming area cheap entry fee. The water is very refreshing with texas summer heat.
Great way to spend an afternoon. $4 for non-residents. Buy a ticket at the machine, but still gotta wait in line.
Swimming, people watching, relaxing
Bring a floaty! The water is cold, but wonderful
I would'nt go to the free side. The free side of Barton Springs is'nt very safe. You're aloud to bring dogs on the free side, but not on the paid side. There is a lot of Algea, but overal it's fun!
Look, it's cold. You have to just jump in or you're not gonna do it.
The water was cold af
Great place to cool off on a hot summer day in Austin.
Worth a dip on a sunny afternoon. Nice crowd and has a nominal entrance fee. Do not forget to carry a spare pair of clothes.
An Austin gem, just dive in! Also, go through the back way, MUCH shorter line
Austin's best pool by far- always cool and always relaxing.

Awesome place but know that it is COLD water, prepare yourself mentally or you will be shocked
The water is really cold so go swimming during the hottest part of the day
Swimming feels amazing.
68 degrees year round and best known spring fed swimming pool in Central Texas!
Having a picnic while enjoying the breeze
What's not to love... People watching, swimming, laying out... Always fun to go on the night swims too!
Amazing day wonderful place
Great place to cool off
Hop on a b-cycle on a hot day and head out to this natural spring.
A mix of man made and nature makes this the perfect place to relax on a winters night. Less than 10 people in the whole pool area allows you to relax on the rock and listen to the running water.
Best place on the lake to rent from. Customer service orientated and great trip to Barton springs from there
An Austin must see. Bring a floatie and do some people watching. Cash only, gets very crowded when it's nice out on the weekend.
I like it, waters always cold, but there are SO many people and the free side is eaten up with too many unsupervised dogs.
Stunning. As a tourist I do suggest walking afterwards to chuy's for margaritas & an uber back to town.
Closed on Thursdays! 😒
Great family park and swimming area.
Nice pave to relax and cool off on hot summer day:-)
Full moon swimming, especially in Pisces
Awesome natural spring!
awesome place to cool off after a nice run in the park!!
beware of fire ant mounds when you're laying out!
Too much kids, gets a little loud, the water temp is refreshing a great escape on the humid hot day
Free from 5-8am
Its cheap to get in
No food! But there is a refreshments kiosk nearby and they'll stamp your hand to come back in.
So cold but soooo great!
Refreshing on a hot Austin summer
A perfect pause during our trip to Austin. Grab a spot in the shade or in the sun and take a dip in the pool every so often to beat the Texas heat.
