Originally known as Central Building, Beardshear Hall was built in 1908. It was renamed in 1938, after William M. Beardshear, who served as president from 1891 to 1902. Beardshear Hall currently houses the office of the president and other top administrators.
Construction on the Central Building concluded in 1908. In 1938, it was renamed for former ISU president William Beardshear (1891-1902).
