The building is a great piece of architecture.
A smaller museum but has some great art exhibits.
The special exhibitions are a nice way of seeing the 'hidden' parts of the museum's extensive collection.
The museum was at the top of my list when visiting Charlotte. Spent about an hour there. Great place.

Really cool museum with an intimate feel.
Have someone give you a guided tour - it is a fantastic way to get to know the museum. And, in case you are wondering, Patterson Pope supplied the movable shelving and art rack in the storage room.
If you can get for free or just feel like donating to the arts, check it out. Otherwise, it's not worth the admission.

Come hear some great jazz on the first friday of each month. Get there early or buy your tickets online the day before or you might miss out.
The Alexander Calder and Andy Warhol works are AMAZING!!! The museum even has some Picasso pieces!
