Lots of security checks, multiple luggage & passport checks, etc. But all the staff and security people are patient and nice though, so it is not so bad, only time-consuming. Be here in good time.

Get to Ben Gurion as early as you can for your flight: if you aren't an Israeli citizen, the security takes a really long time. Try to remain calm even with the slightly intrusive questions.

I'm impressed after reading all above tips. Check in and border control were really fast. Architecture deserves special mention. Very clean and light airport. Free wi-fi available.

The early morning madness together with the overcomplicated, pointless screening procedure, and the the mess in the checkin stands makes feels like a punishment before your vacation

Wanna know which Dan lounge is less crowded? Look at the flights list on the screens on the concourses entrance and go to the one with less flights. That will also one be to accept cc "arrangements"

Make sure to get to the airport at least 3 hours early. Even to just go through security with a carry on the wait is an hour and you are asked tons of questions.

Good airport, but there are huge queues, you have to wait for along time for everything. Think twice before coming to here.

Remember, there are two security checks, each one can easily take more than an hour. Especially if you have a beard!

Flying out is a pain as security checks and lines are sometimes slower then usual. Overall great airport and lots of options for shopping and relaxing while waiting for your flight.

Free wifi available at the airport. A taxi to Tel Aviv is about 130 NIS. Use the taximeter if you feel not confident to evaluate a fixed price. Ask the taxi driver for local recommendations.

Extra fast pre-checkin/passport control, just asked a few questions, my suitcase wasn't even x-rayed. Friendly staff, free wi-fi, conveniently planned. One of the best airports and a safest one, too.

If you're travelling internationally (especially with El Al), make sure you arrive at least 3 hours before your scheduled flight time. Be prepared for a lot of queueing and multiple security checks.

Free WiFi. If you're going to TelAviv you can take a train/bus. There're shuttle buses to other cities (e.g. Jerusalem). Taxis have a choice between fixed price to nearby cities or using a meter.

Quite possibly the world's safest and most secure airport. Passenger screening is tight but obviously worth it.

A rarity for an airport, check out the palm tree-lined garden outside Terminal 3. It includes citrus orchards, agricultural fields, olive groves, and stone terraces.

Pondering checking in bag or taking on plane? Check it. Or else, you'll be doing lots of repacking @ xray. They take security seriously - everything's getting taken apart & swabbed.

If you have young kids, find the nursery off the main hall (thru security) - changing tables, private nursing rms, & filtered water. Plus, a playground. Every int'l airport should offer.

The concept of a line in Israel is quite blurry. So when entering the line for gate security, keep your elbows out, because Israeli people will be cutting the line right and left. Enjoy :-)

Hey, border control, if you have 32 desks but only have 4 open for the 300+ people in line, don't be surprised if the population thinks you're overpaid and useless.
