Located in Boston’s South End, B&G Oysters is Chef Barbara Lynch’s modern take on a classic oyster bar and has a decidedly neighborhood vibe, combining friendly service with fantastically fresh oysters from both coasts, inspired seasonal seafood dishes, Ne
The corn cake is amaizing
Great for Oysters 👍👍
The hen of the woods is an amazingly balanced dish, on par with courses from the best restos in the world.
Really good oysters!! Snow crab claws were also delicious! We ate at the bar and the experience was great. Expensive but highly recommended
Oysters, any seafood dish
Oysters to start
Amazing food and customer service!!!
Oysters and ceviche. The rest is either deep fried or comes with mayo, French fries and ketchup. A waste of good seafood in my opinion.
An absolutely amazing lobster roll and a huge oyster selection!!
Oysters, Brussel sprouts, calamari, fried oysters, salads, and No. 9 Park Pinot blanc!
Best squid ink pasta I've ever had, and I've tried the ones in Italy
Sit at the bar and watch the chefs cook. Good date spot.
Expensive, but great seafood. Obviously, don't skip the oysters!
Fried oysters with house-made tartar sauce.
Sweet snap pea salad is awesome!!
Barbara Lynch is probably the best chef in Boston and definitely the most popular. Consider this South End joint her highbrow answer to an East Coast oyster bar.
Lobster roll is small and lacks seasoning. Neptune oyster still has the best lobster rolls. Didn't enjoy how the tuna tartar was prepared. Felt like I was eating raw tuna from a bowl of soup.
Awesome oysters and lobster rolls. Well chosen wine list, but could use a few more Chablis
Great oyster selection and certainly fresh. Can't go wrong with any of their fried options either. I would not recommend coming here for their entrees, over priced small portions, and mine was cold.
Good seafood, $$$
Get a mix of classic and seasonal everything. The servers know their stuff - ask questions. An awesome bottle list too, perfect for seafood.
Had wine, appetizers, and oysters. Apps were delicious and cheap $5 range. Oysters and wine were delicious. This was a tell all of your friends kind of experience. Will be back.
A little over rated. Lobster roll wasn't worth the price.
B&G Oysters for a phenomenal meal.
Great times. Splurge on a fine white to have with your seafood.
Excelent experience .
(Best of Boston 2013-RAW BAR) Improper Bostonian says, "Any night at a Barbara Lynch outpost is a night in good hands, and for the mollusk-obsessed, it doesn't get any better."
Dozen oysters and moules frites - happy boy :)
You and your parents will die for the lobster roll and raw oysters at B&G Oysters in the South End.
Great oysters! Great music!
Our server was fantastic, and she was very helpful in choosing the best oysters of the night. The red snapper, swordfish, halibut and cod were cooked well, but lacked that special something.
Try the Popcorn panna cotta!
Lobster Roll & Weihenstephan'er Hefeweizen...
This place is truly terrific! try their clams! it's divine. If you know someone who have a birthday, take them to this place. thy treat you like a star.
If you like bacon and lobster, then get the BLT with lobster! !!
Delicious oysters. Excellent selection.
quite good. a little pricey. the hake is very good.
Amazing lobster roll (esp if you are not a mayo fan.) Its simple and spectacular!!
Seems odd to say at an Oyster bar but the mascarpone Mac n Cheese is phenomenal and a must order. Wow.
We tried several varieties of oysters, and each were fantastic, standout being the Ninigrets from RI (of course, my home state!). Great apps and sides, my rock cod entree rocked, service was stellar.
Look for Klaus!
It's all about the oyster. And ......
