Stick with The Golden Girls! Bea Arthur (vanilla ice cream, dulce de leche, crushed nilla wafers) & Rue McClanahan (pecan praline cookies w bourbon ice cream) are the way to go.

Everything is delicious, but the American Glob, the Salty Pimp, and the Amazing Sauce Sundae are the best. If you get the sundae, deeefinitely ask for a scoop of apple butter on top. So. Good.

Definitely worth trying if you like a good soft serve. The salty pimp is delicious! Love the sea salt flakes and dulce de leche. Prices are average for ice cream in NYC. Cash or card okay.

I always get the Salty Pimp, but the last time I was there I got vanilla ice cream with hot choco syrup and crushed pretzels. Really good, 'cept part of the choco froze the pretzel in unbreakable rock

Great place in the West Village. Be warned, on a sunny day the queue is out the door and down the street! Love that they have to have a tray or extra cone to catch all the toppings!

You need the Bea Arthur: vanilla ice cream, crushed Nilla Wafers on the outside and dulce de leche injected into it. I find myself day-dreaming (and slightly drooling).

No matter that I'm gaining at least 20lbs this summer from ice cream, this place is amazing. Friendly and attentive staff. Get the American Globs. They even give you a little tray it's so big!

The Coco Cone is a must try! Chocolate soft served coated in curried coconut pieces - it's deliciously sweet w/ the perfect "bite." The curry complements the chocolate & coconut so well! #CPL8

These guys are geniuses - if you ask for sprinkles they will pour some IN YOUR CONE before they add the ice cream. Makes those last few bites even better.

Rich soft serve -- but the gems are their cone and sundae creations. The salty pimp is the classic, but my favorite is American globs (dark pretzel bits) with dulce de leche and Nutella in the cone!

The West Village is swarming with overpriced, mediocre ice cream shops, but Big Gay is a welcome reprieve. $3.75 gets you a cup or cone with sprinkles AND chocolate dip, and the staff are SO friendly!

Loved this place at first. But the customer service lately is ridiculously absurd. Messed up our order twice then blamed us for the fault. Hopefully they improve and work to make others happy.

Soft serve has been revolutionized thanks to Big Gay Ice Cream. You can't go wrong with the Salty Pimp (vanilla soft serve, caramel, and a chocolate shell) or make your own cone.

Salty pimp is decent but for $6 something incl tax, I'm kinda unimpressed by the softserve itself. It's like mcd softserve. Toppings is only thing distinguishing. Rather eat ample hills
