The portions are huge! Prices are very reasonable. Had the tonkatsu bun with the spicy miso ramen and they were both pretty good. Pair it with the house draft and you're all set.

I had second thoughts about going to this place, but I am so happy I decided to try. Affordable Japanese restaurant, with huge portions of pure happiness.

Big portions, kind staff, great tastes. Big in Japan may not be the most authentic Japanese restaurant, but I bet you’ll leave happy. Get the giant 32 oz steak

Very creative concept! Name, decoration, music and menu are diferent and thought of.Food is good and they have their own beer (not so great), sakes and japanese whisky.Definetely worth checking out

Discovered #Montreal's #BiginJapan resto (St. Laurent/Pins) recently. Had the braised pork over rice. Loved it. And the green tea cake with ginger ice cream. Yum-my. Will certainly go again.

Traditional wood-hews Japanese aesthetic with late-served menu goods like green tea-braised spare ribs, roasted half-chickens in kimchi sauce, and awesome pork pancakes w/ grilled Nordic shrimp.

All the small plates we shared were excellent. Much better than I remembered from my first visits. The buns were a highlight and the goyza sauce so good I wanted to lick the bowl.

There is only one kind of Ramen which is a Miso Ramen, but almost everyone in this place is eating that! The broth was simply great, and cha-shu was one of a kind compared to other ramen places.

AMAZING! The miso katsu don is soo good and a great portion for $13. The Tuna tataki was also a hefty portion of tuna for the price. We're coming back Asap!

Joue de boeuf au thé vert! It sounds insane but it's just insanely good. This place is the definition of fusion: focus on taste, feelings and excitement in the mouth.

Really enjoyed the tuna tataki here. Very fresh tasting and the tuna has a great texture. The beef and eggplant noodle dish is pretty excellent too.

Try the bbq pork steamed breads for appetizers as well as the crispy pork and the pancakes for entrees. Large portions, decent prices, good service.

Great place to go eat late at night.. Perfect for when you finish work late and don't feel like cooking 😉. Order a Shandy and crispy pork!

This place is special. Unique. Busy for a reason. Miso Raman is incredibly filling, equally tasty and worth the drive...from almost anywhere.

This new pub offers a limited menu of small dishes – just something to snack on while you drink. The real draw here is the bar menu, namely their sake. Split a $98 bottle of Honjozo with friends even.

Try the kimchi beer once, to have the experience. Split it if you can. Wings are good, fun food.

Food is consistently excellent (inquire after the specials), beer is cheap, sake... less so. Bring cash for bills under $20.

Hit or miss, as in I miss Vancouver. Do: korroke, tofu, dog. Don't: ramen, anything with pork. The pork should fall apart, not require you to tear it apart like a dog. Noodles are not chewy.

I arrived at 22h15, they didn’t have chicken or pork and had no flexibility at all to adapt at least a “rice and eggs dish” so I could eat something. My boyfriend ate ramen, I watched.

Instead of ordering mains, order a bunch of starters and casse-croûtes to share. It's not that more expensive and you will get to taste more things!

Very good crispy pork (tonkatsu), Ramen soup OK, but better can be had in Montreal.
