Pickled vegetables plate is plenty big enough to share and a nice beginning to a meal with friends...
Best Cajun food I've ever had. Possibly one of the best brunch spots in the city. Make sure to try the biscuits and gravy - don't sleep on the Bloody Mary either.
It was had to choose what to eat. ❤️ the Signature Fried Chicken, not greasy and delicious crisp skin, the New Orleans Benedict and the Crab Cakes. Complimentary Beignets are amazing! Great place!
Brunch - fantastic benedicts, French toast, omelettes, and great coffee and wonderful tea selection!
Pimiento cheese burger is great.
Shrimp and grits, biscuits, fried plantains. Butter is in everything.
Bring your appetite. Plenty of good choices.
The chicken sandwich is by far the best I've ever had. Bloody Mary's are also good and spicy.
Sweet potato pancakes and crawfish/andouille/cream cheese omelette were a little too good. Beignets while you wait for your food.
Catfish, comfort food, cocktails, beignets
I loved this place ask to eat outside, if it's nice weather.
The cocktails at Big Jones are worth every penny and then some. On Mondays though they're half the price, which makes everything right with the world.
Slow service. Free beignets but they're denser than others.
I think this place might be my favorite brunch in Chicago. Love the shrimp & grits. And those beignets are divine.
Great brunch. Beignets served with every meal
Corn cakes. Best brunch dish I may have ever had in all my days.
Good food! Four Square recommended it to me!
Everything is fantastic here.
Service is terrible and slow. I decided to leave.
Can't go wrong here, no matter what you order, but I recommend making reservations.
You can't go wrong, no matter the choice! We had the blood sausage, salad, brussel sprouts, duck, flatiron steak and coconut creme pie. Service, atmosphere and food were absolutely fabulous.
The pimiento cheeseburger at Big Jones is one of the 100 best things we ate this year. http://tmout.us/rLOtk
We had a fabulous brunch! The food was super tasty yumminess and the cocktails were fun, interesting and delicious. Good service too!
I found their collard greens to be very bitter - would recommend you avoid those. The corn bread is delicious though.
Meh - not worth it. My husband ordered OJ & received a mimosa. Good thing he isn't a recovering alcoholic! My order was totally wrong and by the time correct order came my husband was already done.
Took my partner for his BDay and we won't be back. Food poisoning for the both of us! While it could've been that one time, it only leaves one to guess how unclean that kitchen/staff are. #disgust
Beef fat fries! Oh my!
Plan ahead! The fried chicken is delicious, but only available for lunch, and it takes 30 minutes to make.
The Toasted Pimiento Cheese Sandwich is one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches--housemade Sally Lunn bread is loaded with butter and slathered with flavorful pimiento cheese.
The chef needs to learn how to cook collard greens. I am from the South and I have never seen nor eaten bright green collard greens. There's a reason why you cook them to death.
If you love brown liquor - join the Bourbon Society. Try all 46 whiskeys!
Lamb is amazing.. Highly recommended!
Intelligentsia coffee is delicious and they give you real, thick cream and actual sugar cubes for it. Complimentary beignets melt in your mouth. The grits with cheese and butter are mandatory.
The Venison Sausage rules!
Try the Eggs New Orleans
Great brunch. Have the gumbo.
Must have fried chicken. Yup fried chicken. Who knew??
The antebellum rice waffle, with potted duck, pecans and sage, is to die for
Taste like home!
Boarding House Lunch is the best fried chicken meal up north.
