Cross country skiing at Lone Mtn - highly recommend 1st timers package - rental, trail pass, & 1hr lesson (Leslie was ver thorough!).
On powder days advanced riders should head to Dakota & Shedhorn chairs if the tram is closed, Also Moonlight Headwall. Best place to warm up is Moonlight Lodge—best atmosphere, food & drinks.
The triple bowl is sweet when it is full of powder. Traverse to the far skiers right to catch the powder drifts with the fewest moguls.

Powder day itinerary: If the upper mountain has delayed openings head straight for Bear’s Lair on Andesite Mountain.
If you are here for summertime activities...check in at basecamp and make sure to make reservations. Many activities fill up fast...and you don't want to miss all the fun because your not prepared.
You MUST take the tram up to the top of Lone peak. The views are stunning. If you don't want to go down the blacks, take the tram back down from where there is an easy blue.
