People tend to check in during these times:
Went upstairs for pasta. Cheap, simple, homely, as always. And of course, the funny free cordial.
Schnitzel and cheese is my standard fare. It's not changed substantially in 35 years. Still comes with a "hot plate" warning, a carafe of orange cordial and a small bowl of lettuce leaves for salad.
Cheap and cheerful
Family style Italian place, nice and cheap. BYO good
Great place for breakfast. Either big portion or small bite
Cheap eats, really nice basic Italian
Good coffee. Good service
Cheese schnitzel is the best!!!!! I've been coming here for 23 years! I hope it never changes.
A local institution. Rough around the edges but in a charming way. Plus the staff are great and remember your name.
Cheese schnitzel is the bomb! Splurge and get it as combination with spaghetti bolognese! I love this place!
The Osso Bucco is to die for...
Best value on Stanley Street.
It's good if u wanna eat something healthy without spending a lot of money, but you can define it a real italian restaurant.. If u want to feel the real italian taste you need to spend more i think
Eat things here. Things = Good.
Twilight Zone and Pirates of The Carribean
You don't like the food? Please leave, Bill & Toni's don't want you.
The non smoking area is the café next door. Everyone here smokes. Coffee comes with a pack of Winfield Blue.
Don't bother with the meatballs, very bland.
The beef lasagne is yum!
Pinball, rugby, gelato, good coffee. What more do you need?
Open at 6.30am on Saturdays
Food upstairs is pretty basic but decent enough. $16 gets you a veal schnitzel, with a side of spinach and carrots, some bread, and a lettuce salad. Tasty enough and the price is right.
Minestrone is execreble. Staff nice.
Been coming here every day for lunch since I started working nearby. The staff know my usual meal and favorite seat, and just gave me a free coffee! <3 (Bocconcini + tomato sandwich is great)
Even Murray the red Wiggle eats here! What more endorsement do you need?
Best ham, cheese and tomato toastie this side of my mum's in Wales, tidy
Hmm lemon sorbet...
Cheap toasted sandwiches but food upstairs is terrible!
The vegetarian option is quite spicy, if you like that. I don't so it was annoying for me. I liked the steak Dave had. The free bread was definitely the best. For the price: 4/10.
Coffee good but food is terrible. Save yourself.
Best skim caps :) and great staff!!!
Awesome coffee, the best for miles.
Only been there once, but it had the best long Macchiato's I've ever had. OK, secon best, but the Dog's Bar in St. Kilda is long gone....
As the new mayor, free coffee for everyone
Big fan of their soups! Try the soy choc milkshakes! Yum!
yumm ricotta, tomato and cracked pepper on turkish...loads of it for a few dollarsgreat value stuff
Great staff who remember you an your order. Awesome, inexpensive food. Plenty of options in the street, but I only come here.
Foccacia with the lot. I have been ordering it for over twenty years and I still love it. Never in fashion, never out. A low key sydney treasure.
Strongest coffee in the area, friendly staff who remember you, no nonense, good value, and you'll often find yourself dining with pigeons onside. Great retro poster of the district on the wall too
Yes, super strong coffee for my coffe living wife. And super sweet milkshakes for me. Too sweet actually.
Best watermelon juice and ham, cheese & tomato toasties!
Will have to say good coffee. Crap radio station playing tho..
