People tend to check in during these times:
America's Legendary Music Hall. Like us on Facebook, too. Facebook.com/birchmere
The line number ticket system is ridiculous. It's like the Southwest airline of venues.
amazing live performances from obscure/underground artists with niche followings.
Parking can fill up quickly, get in and find a spot.
Not a bad seat in the house.
Pricey!! But a really great venue
Great, intimate setting to catch your favorite band. Get there early to get a seat close to the stage if you want as all shows are general admission, but there aren't bad seats.
A great place to see world class musicians!
Really liked the catfish and red beans and rice entree!
Don't eat here. Both me and my date got food poisoning! :(
Best music around and great atmosphere!
This place Rocks! Great service. Great Pinot Grigio, by the bottle. I will definitely be back... Hopefully it will be to see Kathleen Madigan :) Be sure to swing by RT's to grab a bite afterwards!
Seeing Kathleen Madigan. Great show, cool place
Don't come expecting great good or even good service. This is a place to listen to music and perhaps drink beer if you're into it, thanks to a pretty solid variety of micros.
Great venue for real music
Arrive early to snag a good table. Decent on tap and bottled beer selection.
Love this place.
For the best seats, come around 4 PM. The box office opens at five. Get in line so that you can get an early number to enter and get the best seats.
Casual place with a lot of history. Great staff. I'll be back.
The performance was excellent. The food is not so good. But it's not far from Old Town or Crystal City.
Much more than a 'Rock Club,"legendary R&B, Bluegrass,Country, Folk, Jazz artists play in an intimate setting with perfect sound quality. No bad seats, but it's unreserved-get there early(doors at 6p)
Southside Johnny makes it here twice a year!
One of my favorite venues.Small, intimate and the food is great!
We love the Birchmere! Great for a date night or night out with friends. Even better - you can get $20 off your first ride by signing up for Uber with the promo code 'BIRCHMERE' ! #uberapproved
Carpenters shelter cook off
Report 1: Dinner special Jeanne ordered was a total rip-off. Nothing special in any way whatsoever & $17 for the privilege. My salad was a much better value. At least it wasn't supposed to be special.
Group of 3. Ordered crabby pretzels. Dicks gave us 2 pretzels. We had to math. Dicks also asked for tip when tickets purchased.
You just have to suck it up and know that you're paying for an event as much as a concert. General admission, picnic tables & overpriced food is part of the experience. Yes, charging for water sucks!
Great venue! Get there early (or show up late) to grab awesome seats.
Great, intimate venue. Good service and decent food. Arrive early to get good seats!
Get the catfish, red beans and rice...always a treat!
Hanging with great friends to see Maysa
Be careful where you park. They will double the cars in the lot and you will be blocked in. Is that legal? Probably my last visit here.
Get the catfish red beans and rice! Delicious!
Great venue, but bad food. Chicken tenders are serviceable. Nachos too. Avoid chicken quesadilla.
Great venue...just get here early!
Having 2 pay 4 water is bogus :-( & bottle H2O is bad 4 environment etc
Have the catfish and red beans and rice. Not kidding. Do it.
Surprising but true the Tostada is really good!
Arrive early for good seats, but park far from the entrance so it's easier to get out after a show. Get a bottle of wine while you're waiting & take it in. Avoid salads (swimming in vinegar &sugar).
Bring your own water because they don't offer tap : / You'll end up spending $2.50 on one bottle.
You gotta try the New Orleans style food
Get there early for parking and seating--all reasonably priced tickets are general admission. The best performers--not the latest pop flavor of the week--perform here.
Best venue for live music in the DC-Baltimore area.
This place is awesome. It’s a little small, but then again, I am a 400 pound bear. After a show, I head to TopGolf to stretch my legs and swing the big stick.
Celebrating their 30th anniversary, 10,000 Maniacs will be performing tonight at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35. See more in the Blade
Great food but come early to the show to get better seats
