Bathroom is free now!
The eyes are watching you...
No fuss fast flowing transport plenty of staff and escalators wide corridors feels safe :)
Nice variety of shops to pick from, so you can easily find some food that you like - but the shops are overpriced. Located very close to the main shopping centre too, which is very convenient.
What a tip! Still the dark and dingy station it always was and really difficult to navigate.
Looks good now they've done it up, but it's confusing to find your way around now. Especially if you're only a semi regular visitor.
I like it. Much better than the London train stations in my opinion.
A lot better post refurbishment. A lot brighter. Used to be a dark hole
Enjoy the soul-destroying Underground-like décor while being overground.
Not the best place for a hangover cure
I used to know my way round this station but since the redecoration, I keep leaving from the wrong exit! There is a sign hanging from the ceiling for directions to Moor Street if you can spot it.
The best station in birmingham, very huge
I wish the public transport in my country was as efficient as here!
Busiest train station in the UK - nightmare
This place is an alienating, claustrophobic, cynical, abomination with absolutely nothing to commend it
Looking a little better but still chaotic at times.
Very close to a huge shopping area
Big station with only one toilet... Disappointing...
Most of the platforms now have escalators. Sadly they still do a manual ticket check at the barrier. They should really have automatic machines.
The new New Street Station is gorgeous! Spacious and makes a massive improvement on the city centre. Now with better shopping too!
The renovation change the whole landscape of the station. You need a map now to get around.
Book tickets online and collect from your local station (use booking reference). Cross Country trains seem busy. Looks like many people reserve seats! New Street being redeveloped until 2015!
Be better on Saturday when improved access to the Bullring opens!
Don't bother with the coffee places on the station, go out of the main doors and head to "Food With Benefits" Coffee Lounge over the road. Much better.
Try booking tickets after 9/10am a few days before. My ticket went from £50 to £20!
If you're looking for a cost effective sandwich just walk across the road from the main exit to Tesco.
Yuk! Dirty, ugly & disfunctional.....
Try your luck, sometimes the other counters near Starbucks don't have checkers.
The new station has the same aseptic feel of Gatwick Airport South Terminal and the same Cornish Pastries shop!
However many times I come here, I still don't understand which she of stairs leads to which concorse!
Sony forget there's more shops at the M&S end such as Starbucks and the Burrito place
If you use The Trainline app on iOS then you can now download your tickets on selected routes - so no more queuing to print off your tickets!!
Try the pasty shop. Pricey but nice :)
This place is like a maze!! No likey
Feel like having a quest? Try to find the gents.
The people here are morons who can't seem to grasp the basis instincts not to walk in you. You literally have to dive and weave inbetween people on the main floor.
Lovely and new but doesn't stop the services been the worst I've ever seen. Shame on them
Where you're always going to be late for work, terrible!!
Welcome to the worst train station in the UK.
Avoid - horrible place
Amazing new station. Find the helpful Virgin team in their red jackets. Uber helpful ;-)
Manic. Give yourself plenty of time if you're changing trains!
Horrible place, even with the improvements. You can't polish a turd.
Head to the Bullring for free toilets & range of cafes
Judging by the expression on fellow passengers faces, this is the place where hope comes to die
Love the new m and s store. Very spacious
Extremely expensive for food at this station, try the tesco metro just around the corner. £3 for a bottle of coke! 😯
15 mins. of free wi-fi offered by The Cloud.
Go through the barrier to Marks and Spencer the food on the platform side is massively expensive
