Alabama's largest airport serving the Greater Birmingham area and surrounding Southeastern cities. We offer more than 120 daily flights to over 25 cities throughout the United States.
Eat before you go through security as food choices are limited after security check.
Only need to be here an hour before flight. Not a busy airport.
Ur bags will take forever to come out.
No McDonalds in an airport? Tis true.
Best airport in the world to come home to, but bummer taking off from because each terminal is secured, and then no Starbucks or drinks?
BHM got a starbucks, WOW!
This is the worst airport ever!!! No coffee - super slow wifi & bar area is combined with pizza hut & yogurt stand... Try to avoid layovers here at all costs
Eat first. Sorry selection of eateries ...
New chick fil a in Concourse B!
Birmingham tourism information can be found at the Information desk on the ground level near baggage claim. The Information desk can be reached at 599-0500.
Visit the new starbucks!
Watch out for hop-ons. You are gonna get some hop-ons.
Food behind security check is terrible and overpriced. Eat outside of checkpoint
Mortal Combat for Sega Genesis is the best video game ever.
Most airlines recommend that passengers arrive at the airport 60 to 90 minutes prior to departure.
The smallest airport I've been to so far, but the cool thing is they have free wifi throughout the whole airport. ✈
The toilets are phenomenal. They don't smell like poop anymore.
During construction on Concourse B, all flights are on Concourse C. This makes the TSA screening slow. Be here at least an hour early.
Eat before coming through the gate. If you want anything standard like mcdonalds, you're out of luck.
WiFi is very slow. I usually end up using my aircard.
Concourse B has no food options, but it does have one tiny bar.
If your flying out at 6am on a Monday be here early because the line is crazy long, to get through security!
Monday mornings are the only time I would suggest you get there an hour+ before your flight.
Want to have a smooth transition through the TSA checkpoint? Each time TSA searches a carry-on it slows down the line. Practicing 3-1-1 will ensure a faster and easier checkpoint experience.
worst airport ever!!
Rental cars are now in the parking garage
They are doing construction so all flights are going through one terminal right now so long security lines during peak times
You can get here about an hour before flight. Easy in and out Airport
TSA = baggage handlers
Safety officer should be fired. No emergency lighting functioning during blackout. Obviously senior staff here more interested in getting paid than doing their job - shame on you all!
Starbucks coming to Gate C terminal very soon! Bout time!
The free WiFi is confusingly named "Port Authority LAN" but otherwise works perfectly.
They now have TSA Pre. Life changing.
If you are traveling into Birmingham for Empowerment Week, be sure to check out the many options for ground transportation: http://www.flybirmingham.com/passenger-parking.html#ground
Starbucks is by gate C12
Babies. Babies everywhere. Shoot me.
The service at the Starbucks location on Concourse C was great.
try the smoked, pulled pork sandwich at the Sam Adams spot (see the photo)...yummy!
Concourse C has new Sam Adams bar. Pizza Hut and Quiznos are next door. It's better.
If you drive through the arrival lane too many times a policeman may shoot his gun at you car.
Take a picture of your luggage that you check. Makes it a snap to describe if gets lost.
No coffee shop :(
Frequent travelers- Leave extra time for security. No first class line, no Clear lane. They do have TSA Pre-Check.
I like this airport but the Fox News stuff has to go.
The airport has been renovated. Any tips prior to 2013 are no longer valid. That being said, local fare includes Jim and Nicks BBQ. If you have time, try their Pork plate for a taste of southern BBQ.
