Try their specialty macarons -- go for seasonal flavors. The lemon verbena mint was mind-blowing. For the traditional French macaron, try the violet or rose. You can't go wrong with floral accents.

Tucked away in the LES. Filled with traditional (espresso, lemon, dark chocolate) and original seasonal varieties (yuzu, mandarin, wasabi). Bonus: they deliver to all five boroughs! Read more

Some of the best macarons that I've ever had. The salted caramel is as good as everyone says and the lavender-honey is delightful.

A very eclectic offering of macaron favors that go above and beyond anything else you'll find in the city, if you are willing to fork over the $3 per piece #treatyourself.

Not impressed. If you know anything about macarons skip this place and make the trek uptown to Ladurée (Madison btw 70th/71st). It will be totally worth it for authentic, fresh and delicious macarons!

If you're allergic to nuts (specifically almonds), these are made with almond powder so beware and ask if you have food allergies. I'm glad I asked before eating or buying any.

Ladurée's the gold standard, but Bisous Ciao's macarons are worth a go, too. Crisp, airy, and available in "classic" and "fleur" collections.
