The lobster roll is crazy good! As are the clams !
Order the lobster sandwich! It is really good
Love the fish shack for casual dinner or business lunch. Good fish tacos and peel n eat shrimp, plus the oyster and happy hour drinks are great. Good IPAs.
Oysters are great. Kind of pricey though so I would recommend going for happy hour.
Seafood tower is fantastic.
Absolutely fantastic spot. My ❤ Shrimp cocktail, Scallop Crudo, Grilled Fennel, Skuna Bay Salmon, Woods Mushrooms and for dessert Cotton Candy. The complimentary biscuits are delicious.
Smells really fishy from the outside.
Of all he lobster joints in NYC, BLT Fish has by far the best quality lobster bibs.
We went while the 2nd & 3rd floors were under construction, but still had a really enjoyable experience on the 1st floor. Also, how has no one written about the buffalo shrimp yet? Sooo good.
Oyster happy hour 5-7 on weekdays is the best! Get there early to grab a seat, it's only at the bar. Also $5 beer, whichever the happy hour special happens to be, but all their beets are solid.
The crabcake soooo good!!!!
Great fish, cheddar rolls, cotton candy! Great place for a private event on second floor. Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here.
The worst. Bad service (server: Brandon or Bradley). Weak food.
Dined at Fish Shack. Adored the marina decor. Fresh oyster & clams. Go for an appetizer extravaganza, most creative things on menu. The fries are perfectly cut with crisp outside, soft innie. :D
For your not-so-typical bread basket, BLT Fish serves cheddar cheese biscuits with a kick of cayenne pepper.
Fourth of July Drinks: Ask for Red, White and Blueberry Spiked Lemonade
Whether you have a reservation or not, or if it is busy or completely empty, the hostesses are flat out rude, unhelpful and full of disdain. Not the type of thing you'd expect at a BLT restaurant.
Find $1 Blue Point oysters and Little Neck clams, as well as cocktail and beer specials. Offered Monday-Friday, 5-7 p.m.
CHECKIN SPECIAL DOES NOT WORK if you order oysters. You must order "food" for them to honor it. Goddang
The snapper for two is the best!
$1 Blue Point oysters, $1 clams, $5 microbrew drafts M-F 5-7PM! Did I mention $1 oysters in NYC??!
Order the Dover Sole. Easily the best fish I have EVER had. At $50 it's definitely expensive but completely worth it for the exquisite flavors.
Bugs everywhere. Saw a cockroach in the bathroom and a huge water bug on the wall as I ate. I know it's New York, but bug sightings leave a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be returning.
If you want to sneak in some bacon, order the BLT tuna sandwich.
Get the seafood tower!
The scallops are great!
Don't get the New England Clam Chowder. Mostly celery in broth that's too watery.
$1 oyster happy hour! give me some blue points.
Happy Hour at BLT Fish means $1 oysters and clams, $5 drafts, $7 Lionshead Pilsners, and $6 Sharkbites (their house cocktail) Monday through Friday from 5-7 p.m. (according to about.com article)
Fish version of the other BLT establishments. Food and service is good. They sure pack you in during lunch so coats and briefcases are difficult to manage so don't bring too much baggage inside.
Request 3rd fl w/ res. Sea urchin risotto, pass on hamachi. Lobster & king crab seafood-packed cioppino is a steal at $48! The scallops, whole red snapper. And don't forget sides- they're all so good!
Try the bathrooms! The food is always great! Cannot say anything bad about it here. The servers are attentive but not too 'in your face'. Always pleasant.
Watch your lobster roll for one of our little black Cheek'd cards!
oh the oysters!
Don't skip dessert! The doughnuts and the chocolate and coffee mousse cake are yum. The green apple cotton candy is soo good too.
love the fried oysters & sea bass need to work on their check ins. it's a turn off when you check in at the table and unable to partake in the bar special b/c u can only b @ the bar. bad user exp.
Try the clam roll
Really good lobster roll. Also, try the fried jalapeños so good.
Awesomest key lime pie ever!
Eh.... So so food - oysters were great but everything was overpriced and mediocre. If you want amazing seafood, you're better off going to Pearl or Mermaid.
Happy hour: $1 oysters, $1 clams, $5 drafts of Shack Ale, $6 Shark Bite cocktail. Mon - Fri, 5 - 7 PM
The lobster roll here is a non-traditional version, served on a flaky round bun and is brimming with flavors! Highly recommended.
Love this restaurant. Best seafood in the city.
