People tend to check in during these times:
The crème de la crème in New York Jazz, the Blue Note is more of a shrine to the good old days of jazz. Get tickets to the later show and enjoy a few encore songs!
a NYC institution...all the greatest in music have played here...great nights begin here....
One of the greatest Jazz clubs in NY! In honor of Black History, check out these noteworthy examples of African-Americans' accomplishments in Music: http://bet.us/BHM
This place is an overpriced mess. Perfect for Tourists
to see the world's finest jazz musicians in a close, comfortable setting.
An upscale sort of experience with big international headliners performing on stage.
The quality of the service is inversely proportional to the quality of the music. They have great music.
the way they pack you in like a sardine can is what makes New Yorkers despise this place but you can't deny the amazing music that runs through it. Calamari is decent.
Athena is the best waitress
Not much of a jazz buff but enjoyed listening to Helio Alvez from Brasil. The food (black Angus burger) was solid.
great jazz. check the website for sched of whos playing.. bit tight inside. make res.
Don't purchase bar tickets, tables or nothing at all. You'll see why :)
Some great musicians but the place... not so great
Gets packed really quickly, and for good reason. Legendary performers give legendary performances here, but at a premium. Even though it's expensive, it's always a good show.
I wish the music wasn't so good because this is the worst pace to listen to music I've ever been. Skip this overpriced sardine can and go to Village Vanguard.
It's the Blue Note: epic NYC jazz venue. The service sucks. Music is what it's about here. You can sit within sweat-range of your favorite icon. Do it
The cost of brunch is obviously for the musicians, who are Incredibly talented, and not the food, which is bland and uninspired.
Get there 30 min early or they will give your reservation to someone else!
Food is overpriced. Guinness is in bottle, not on tap. Place is ridiculously cramped when full. Great music, though.
Hangin with Earl Klugh!
Great line-up. Awful acoustics. Weird layout. A modest selection of mainstream beers, massively overpriced.
Fantastic performance! Downside is expensive crappy service and lame food.
Great jazz band in the west village. Definitely go back there again
I hate the personnel's attitude here! It's like they are making you a favor to let you in!
Chris Botti.:) Space too tight.
Splurge on a table and get there early for the best seats in the house.
The world Capital of Jazz
Good music but no thanks! The seating is tight and uncomfortable, the food is like bad wedding food, the drinks aren't great and the tourists don't understand the etiquette of a jazz club. Nightmare!
Everyday, the greatest Jazz, live for your enjoyment. Come, go there any day of the week. We enjoyed an awesome performance of Kurt Elling :)
Sunday brunch: food was barely edible. Go to Blue Smoke
NYU Sunday brunch: jazz on the experimental edge, kind of intense for a Sunday morning
Arrive at 6 for hoping to find a seat at the bar... otherwise reserve a table.
Had a great time here last week. A very relaxing enviorment.
Coconut Shrimp had no flavor. Texture did not make up for that.
great live jazz night experience. very close distance between the audience and stage.
Chris Botti was one of the best musical experiences I've ever had. The place is tiny but never overcrowded, sound is great, and cheesecake amazing. Good service. Very newyorkish.
Up close and personal with the artist no matter where you sit. Amazing venue.
Music! Food! Wine
O lugar e pequeno e apertado. Mas vale casa nota musical. Vale checar a lojinha no primeiro andar. Para bons cds de jazz
Jazz em NY. Tudo de bom!!
Excelente ambiente. Código vestir semiformal, algunos casual !! Buena música !!
