Chezz Burger Chezz Burger between gates 5 & 6 is a "hidden" gem. The prices are reasonable & the portions are large. But most importantly, its good. Here is a Turkey Burger, no onions. $5.99.
SO much better than LAX! Smaller yet less crowded. Get to your gate faster. When flying Southwest they usually don't weigh bags when checking in. SO worth the extra $ to avoid the headache of LAX!
One of the best 'big' airports! Generally no lines at the counters, and security is a breeze. Very friendly TSA agents, heads above others. No scanners are a pleasure, without sacrificing security.
Love this little airport that could. Lines if they exist are short (especially since there is now TSA Precheck for those of you that have it). So enjoy a meal at The Lunch Box. It's not helLAX.
Still uses the "Air Stairs" and not the "Jet Ways" ... but nice small airport easy and quick to get in and out of. If you are going to the San Fernando valley area, best to use BUR and not LAX.
Bring your own 5 hour energy or red bull if that's what you live on- they don't have it here! Easy to get in and out of as far as airports. Great alternative to LAX in my humble opinion.
Very small airport. I almost forgot I was near Los ANgeles while in the airport, but it was pretty decent. No great food restaurants to choose from so make sure you eat before you get here.
Expert security lane awesome but 9 times out of 10 it's full of people who have no concept of TSA req'mts (e.g. Belts, liquids, laptops, shoes) so delay usually results. Overall, still faster than LAX
Check out the @VEGAScom @iSnapKiosk in between gates A4 and A5 to take an awesome Vegas themed picture that you can post onto your Facebook or Twitter account for FREE!
Love this airport! Short lines and never over-crowded. Planes board old school style from staircases, which is a hassle for luggage but great for quick boarding from both the front and back.
Park in the structure instead of valet. It's $30/day but it's covered and you can get in and out quicker if you prepay your ticket at the terminal. Odd how it costs more than LAX.
Avoid the lines! If flying Southwest with two or less bags go Right past southwest ticket counter towards the gate and there are two small kiosks which you can get your boarding pass from.
My favorite LA airport. Love being able to exit the plane from the back & you're right outside, old-school style. But if you fly in from NY, you have the longest walk to baggage claim/exit.
If you're on Southwest, planes board from front and back stairs. Take the back set, walk through the plane to the front. Beats waiting for folks trying to pick a seat and blocking the aisles.
Leave extra time for security. In the last two weeks, my bags have been searched for such dangerous looking items as books, magazines and business cards. The security staff is way over-cautious.
While you’re waiting for your flight, you can stay connected with AT&T Wi-Fi. It’s easy to connect and free for AT&T customers w/ certain smartphone or home broadband plans.
The valet is $20 a day, worth it if you don't want to deal with the shuttles. They'll also wash your car and have it ready for you when you land, for $27 more.
If you have any early morning flight, security doesn't open until 5:30am. You can use any kiosk to check in, they have all of the airline carriers on every kiosk.
Smaller airport uses front & rear ramps, fewer baggage carousels, but major bottleneck at pick-up/drop-off. Definitely route here if handy for more streamlined trip
Don't pay at the charging stations. There are outlets at A5 (high up on the wall, so tricky to find). And outlets under the pay phones. Happy device charging!
You can get in and out of LA through this smaller airport, and you can also get some stuff done while you're there on the complementary free wi-fi!
BUR is for fast in-n-out, not hanging out. If you're expecting to be waylaid or get laid over, use LAX. BUR also more convenient for most northside & eastside LA destinations. NB: few charging outlets
Since this place is primarily business travelers a lot of times the "expert" security lane has more people in it than the regular lane. Scope it out before you pull the trigger.
To take the free shuttle to North Hollywood Red/Orange Line, go to the Shuttles & Hotel island and tell the Super Shuttle agent you're going to North Hollywood Metro station.
A very convenient "relief" for LAX. Great for domestic flights. If flying international you might have to make an extra stop and it might cost a few extra.
Small airport with an old-school feel. Easier to access right off the 5 freeway and plenty of food nearby to enjoy while waiting for loved ones to arrive.
If you're not checking anything, you can easily go from your car to your gate in less than 10 minutes. Eat beforehand though. Food is pretty uniformly bad.
Put your valet ticket number in your phone's address book under BUR Valet. When your return flight lands you can call ahead for your car while the plane is still taxiing.
BUR is great, but keep in mind that there are no ATMs past security. If you want to spend money in the airport, but didn't bring any, get it before security.
10 minutes getting thru security. Full body scans. Didn't have to wait 20 extra min for them to pat down my man because of his hip replacements. If you have hardware inside ya always go for the scan
Smaller airport, but that's the best part! In and out real quick. And they don't use jetways, I felt so cool coming out the plane using the ol' fashion stairs.
No wall sockets to charge your devices in all of terminal A. Compare this with plug points in EACH seat in San Jose!! So 20th century!!
Between long beach airport and here you can't go wrong! Free wifi and when you walk onto the plane you feel like a rockstar! Open seating too! Breakfast burritos are like 15 dollars each though! :\
Bon Hope is the best airport to fly out of for short distance trips out of LA. There is a seasonal flight to NYC on JetBlue, also. Totally worth the extra money to skip the hassle!
Just like everything else in so Cal, people think they are experts when they are not...so the bunny slope is often faster than the black diamond!
Really great experience. When you go through security make sure you follow your carry on all the way through the X-ray machine or they will snap at you
Invest in TSA Pre ✅ for $85. You will speed through the security line in 5 minutes, get to leave your shoes on and your laptop in your bag.
If you have a 7am flight security doesn't open until 615 so if its in dec around the holidays you will more than likely miss your flight because there are too many people here at once
Need your hair done? 20% off @ Frenchys Beauty Parlor 2403 W. Magnolia Blvd Burbank 818-845-7545 when you mention four square for the burbank airport. Ask for Mandy
Free WiFi from ABC ... Make sure you select their SSID/network or else you'll only get prompts to pay.
You may want to grab a bench and one of the many electrical outlets before security screening. Theyre are practically no outlets in the gate area.
The bar at terminal 6 is usually less crowded, and you can order ChezBurger from there without waiting in line (very good burgers!).
No need to arrive to early. Check in and security is a breeze. Make sure to wear slide on shoes for easy security scanning.
Let's be frank--this is an eyesore of an airport. Reminds me of what SJC used to be. C'mon, Burbank, revamp this baby! Much more convenient and easier to fly in/out than LAX, but just butt ugly.
Free wifi, Calm environment. Nice, just not many outlets by the seats, you may just be standing up by the charging station.
If you're hungry, you have Starbucks, McDondald's and Panda Express down the road. But if you're thirsty, you have Starbucks, McDondald's and Panda Express down the road.
Hardly any outlets to charge your device. Found a couple at gate A1 near kiosk. Small inconvenience compared to the alternative - LAX!
You can get off the plane from the front or the back, so sitting towards the back will definitely get you off the plane faster.
The fastest airport in the world. From my front door to gate.. 30 minutes! Don't curb side check. It's a super short walk to the counter and you rarely have to wait.
Right by Gate A3 is a great place to grab a salad to go. Build Your Own is the best deal in the place. NOMS!
