    A great place to relax or have a romantic walk. Great place for food vendors and people watching and playing frisbee ...and more ! The Public Garden and the swan boats are right next door.

    Some famous points of interest nearby are: The "Cheers" restaurant, The Statehouse and the Orpheum Theatre which has had rock bands such as Aerosmith, The Scorpions, White Snake and Elvis Costello.

    Boston Common is a must-see if you're visiting Boston. Be sure to take the Black Heritage Trail. Tours start at the Robert Gould Shaw and 54th Massachusetts Regiment Memorial.

    Summer: Frog pond us fun for kids. Boston Garden is right next to the Common, so don't forget to visit both. In winter: Frog pound turns to ice skating.

    Some of the cheapest parking in the city, especially for extended stays. Leave your beer and cigarettes at home, police are pretty particular about the rules at this beautiful urban park.

    Once famed for public hangings and Redcoat army camps, Boston Common is now occupied by relaxing park lovers. Summer sees children splash happy at the Frog Pond. Winter brings out the ice-skaters.

    Did you read E.B. White's Trumpet of the Swan? Parts of the book were based on the summer Swan Boats that float inside the Common.

    Ladies: If you're on a bench by yourself, you will be hit on aggressively and repeatedly! Amusing, but if you don't think so, stay in motion or bring a buddy.

    Have to check out the Boston Commons while in the city. Beautiful! Also make sure you walk down Newbury street by the North West entrance for shops, food, and drinks!

    The city needs to clean the Commons up. I brought my little ones to the frog pond Saturday. There was trash everywhere, homeless people laying all about, and the whole place stunk of garbage & pot
