Out-of-the-way, but easy to find – just look for the off-kilter neon sign attached to the blue wood-framed house. Inside is crammed with fans feasting on the up-and-coming bands, 7 nights a week.
Tiny venue, cash bar, very intimate. The back patio is a nice touch. Stage is a little too high for my liking, but it's a dive venue that excels at being just that.
Featuring up and coming acts from around the globe as well as in our own backyard, the music spans the spectrum from alternative, rock-a-billy, punk, and hard rock, to folk and funk and pop.
This place is a little out of the way, and it sucks trying to catch a cab after the show (ride your bike!), but you're unlikely to get any closer to your favorite band.
Don't miss the openers. Bottom of the Hill is legendary for launching music careers! Seriously, their list of past shows is a who's-who in music today: http://bit.ly/oDg7Fn
Great place for live music. Instead of sitting on your couch, drop by for a visit. Cover is cheap, bar is reasonable and acts appear from all over.
Great small place where some of the best bands played before they got big. Great food, nice outdoor space in back, easy parking, and friendly staff.
The in-house café, The Kitchen, is open until midnight and serves some of the best, most reasonably priced bar fare in the city for less than $5.
see your faves before they blow up & pack the big, snooty venues, hang out back, check out the wall of calendars past + all the old noise pop posters, order a whiskey & tip those beautiful bartenders!
A dying breed! A great place to go see three unknown but pretty good rock n'roll bands and a great place to earn a brutal hangover.
Tofu tacos are to die for! Actual best in the city (surprising for a venue like this, yes, but nonetheless true!)
free parking around. unbartable venue since shows start so late. and they usually sell out shows so preorder preorder preorder!!!
If you haven't experienced a KC Turner Presents Open Mic you haven't experienced the SF music scene .. Just sayin
See up and comers in this fun little club. Bonus points for the ample amount of free parking in the nearby area.
The food grill is pretty sweet if you need a snack to soak up the beer you'll drink during a show.
See three bands you've never seen before and love every one of them. Tell 'em Red Hot said to order the Hot Rod.
Crazy cheap drinks, you'll get more than you bargained for.
Intimate venue with decent sound quality. Easy to find free street parking nearby.
Great San Francisco venue with plenty of beers on tap and a friendly staff!
They serve food! I always get the Polish dog. Bonus points for them serving Hummus.
Top sf venue for emerging bands. Patio area is nice to hang out around between sets!
Awesome small venue. Bring a jacket, seriously gets cold inside sometimes.
Grilled ham and brie sandwich with a beer. And live music. You will not be disappointed.
Cuz Ramona & co. rock. (Note: she's the longtime owner/booker there and has been great to us. This is where we showcased for Wind-up)
Be sure to check out Brooklyn punk band Mr. Dream here on March 3, 2012. You wont regret it.
Atmosphere is good. Hard to understand the lyrics. But the sound is ok:)
Best place to get crowd surfed! The moshers'll take care of you. Haha
Hospitality is awesome here!! All the food is yummy here!!
Parking's a breeze. Taxis are hard to come by. Drive if you can.
Such a great venue with awesome indie history.
Come early the first band might surprise you!
You'll definitely have an intimate show here
Go out and hear live music! Who cares who is playing, you just might be surprised!
Be careful. No ins OR outs here. I got in okay, but I'm fearful of how or if I'll get out.
Do your future self a favor and bring earplugs.
Great sound. Try the mac and cheese
The place to see great bands for cheap in a small space.
Cash only bar. Come prepared.
The best place to see shows in the city.
This is the bar where the hottest guys in the city go. Yow Yow!
Acoustics can be messy.
Secret rooftop hot tub is cool, but it seemed kind of dirty. :-/
Big venue & a lot of street parking!
