Boulud Sud is Chef Daniel Boulud’s vibrant Mediterranean-inspired restaurant featuring flavors that travel the entire Mediterranean region from the shores of Southern France to the coast of North Africa and beyond.
My second time here and the bread is still worth eating. The kale scallop salad was delicious.
Dipping oil and sauce for the bread was delicious! Loved my octopus starter, the artichoke side, pumpkin ravioli and grapefruit dessert. Not so crazy about the swordfish.
Great food! Great service!! But pricey
Don't come here if you have a show, very slow service. Waited 30 min after entree for dessert and still did not come out so I opted to skip and I left 10 min before my show started. Service sucks!
Lentil soup, chicken tagine
Great layout of the restaurant. The place looks good and You should too! The bathroom area/ wine cellar is a nice touch. Anything and everything on the menu is kickass. Those desserts are to die for.
Every dish I tried to date has their own take and full flavor though very light and refreshing. Just one thing - half of restaurant week menu us supplementary price
The soups are good
Lemon saffron linguini, grapefruit givre
Come after a Lincoln Center performance, snag a seat at the bar (no reservations req'd) and get the trio of house made ice creams. Rose is amazing!
The givré is an exceptional dessert
Been twice now, both were during restaurant week. Amazing food & service. Truly worth the prices & even better if grab a booking during restaurant week. Must get the mocha cube for dessert.
Best place to dine on the upper west. Brunch or dinner, make sure to get the bronzino & Mediterranean platter. A visit to chef Sud's kitchen is always blissful.
The grapefruit dessert>everything else
Great restaurant week choice- one of the best deals for how much you pay
Grapefruit givre dessert.
Their are tables with chairs across the street. If you prefer not to stand at the cafe tables.
Try the Pimenton Spiced Steak and Eggs. It's phenomenal. Also good: Peekytoe Crab Tartine and the Lebanese "Awamat" Doughnuts. Save some of the doughnuts for dessert though!
The lamb burger is a very rich and tasty choice for brunch. Get the sunny side egg with it if you dare. The burger quickly turns into a mess if you do. A delicious, delicious mess.
Good lunch menu and plenty of outdoor seating.
Great apps and entrees, but what you really want is dessert. Get the grapefruit givré.
Perfect spot for a tasty Mediterranean meal. My favorites include the mezze, octopus and tagine. Save room for dessert, the grapefruit givré is one of the best desserts in New York!
Pizz/flat bread was delicious. Service was excellent.
Try the hop rod IPA!
Great presentation, tasty food; poor service. Waited so long between each course! But DEFIBITELY get the crab&urchin tartine and the linguini. Paella ok (scallops great!) grapefruit givree AMAZING!
Artichoke and fennel salad was delicious, even though it came with a crumbles chunk of Saran Wrap in the middle.
Loup de mer, saffron linguine, and shrimp. Most expensive tiny piece of 39 dollar venison of all time.
Great food ! Amazing desserts !!!
Honeycomb and lavender infused gin with lemon. This cocktail is to die for!
Fantastic atmosphere. Great value for money given how much food you get. And very attentive service. Only downside is that lots of waiters by the kitchen which spoils the view a bit.
The gelato de creama with truffles is amazing - off the menu - great call.
Grapefruit desert yum
Excellent shrimp gamba a
Portions were kinda small but it wa really good
7-course tasting menu. So fabulous.
Food was subpar and over priced. If you're in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and go to the smith instead.
The worst service ever especially for a place like this:(
Love the dourade, chicken tagine and octopus app!
Watch out - this cooked Octopus a La Plancha will take you out of your world. The delicate marcona almonds, arugula, and jerez vinegar made from Sherry wine goes wonderfully with the octopus’ texture
Get the grapefruit!
The $29 lunch prix fixe is a good deal!
