Bland and boxy, but New York would be worse without it.
Know the address before you go because it's almost invisible on the outside 😊
It is a great venue. I came here to see Kiasmos and Beacon, and the atmosphere downstairs was very intimate. Upstairs, everything was definitely amazing.
Intimate shows. Amazing vibe.
My new favorite spot for shoes. It's set up similarly to Terminal 5 with the second level but much more intimate.
Such a great venue! Can't tell you how much I appreciate a good show AND being able to get to the bar / bathroom without trampling / shoving people. Makes the experience 10x better.
Fantastic venue. Great space. Chill vibe
Great small venue, not bad seat in the house go see great bands. Saw Rainer Maria on NYE and it was excellent
Bar upstairs is cash only! Downstairs takes cards.
My favorite venue in NYC. Never crowded even when sold out, amazing stage views and little to no wait for drinks. What's not to like?
This is a wonderful venue for seeing artists. The show will be excellent but you'll still feel close to the band.
One of the last intimate ballrooms in NYC to see some up and coming acts
The sound here is incredible!
Similar set up and size to Music Hall of Williamsburg: solid acts and it allows fans to head upstairs to escape the the crowd and snag a few beers. Great spot for shows (and close to subways!)
Hang out at the bar downstairs and chill with a five dollar PBR. If PBR is not your thing they have a bar fully stocked.
Very cool concert place. But never drink wine over there. It can kill your stomach.
Get here when doors open or you will be stuck waaay in the back.
Get your music fix here.
Great sound, and I especially like the view from the balcony.
John fullbright/Shovels and Rope
Hands down the best venue to see live music in the city. I've been coming here over 10 years and can't imagine the music scene without it.
Great place to catch a band before they get famous. Small, intimate venue. Seats along the balcony if you get early enough but you really want to be down on the floor.
Good Music. Bad service. Rude security guy really rude.
Head to the balcony, the views and sound are great from up there, you can avoid the crowds on the floor (if you want to) and you can get a drink quick from the bar up there.
Great place for a concert. Saw Johnnyswim and it was very nice!
My favorite concert venue in NY. Great acoustics, w/ an intimate feel. They do a great job of booking indie bands that complement the space. Don't forget to check out the balcony!
Sharon can etten and Jana hunter!
Get there early to grab a spot on the balcony right behind the soundboard. You’ll have the perfect view and nobody will knock into your drink.
Arrive early enough and you might snag a table on the balcony.
Order from the bar upstairs and watch from the mezzanine.
So close to the stage you're practically in the band.
View from balcony
Great place to see small concerts.
The sound here sucks!!
Party all night with your host Panty Matt!
You will almost always get served faster at the balcony bar.
There's a staircase downstairs next to the ladies room that lets you out right next to the stage.
Security is intense. Was drinking a beer, and security asked to see my wristband even though I was wearing a sleeveless shirt and my band was visible? Good thing I'm in my thirties...
I've been coming here for over a decade now, and it's still one of the best places to see a show that I've ever been to.
Great venue. Intimate and old school
No re-entry from doors to the show? What the hell sense does that make you fascist fools?!
Great great place to have an interesting dance/musical experience. Sticky floor..but you get passed that soon enough!
Get behind the soundboard if you can
Watching from above/We saw bosnian rainbows/Emotional crowd
Best venue for eclectic bands! Just saw The Revivalists there and they rocked the roof off!
Check what time your show starts !!
