If you want to try a different desert, classically french, try the îles flottantes. They are meringues with crême anglaise. Surprisingly light.

We had the foie gras, onion soup, duck and steak tartar and can't really fault any of the food. Vanilla soufflé was heavenly.

More outdoor seating than Cafe Rabelais. Obsessed with the soft, warm, fluffy bread. Dip it in the mussels saffron sauce.

A wonderful brasserie of the same owner as Cafe Rabelais. A good place to enjoy their pate or cheese plate with a glass of wine or to have a more 'serious' meal of large wonderful varieties.

Its too hot. The food is great but the AC is poor

Every time I come here there are screaming children. Great food but Im not into listening to children scream when Im having a nice meal.

This is practically the only classic French brasserie in Houston, but the seasonal country French dishes, savory pot-au-feu, white duck cassoulet and steak au poivre are both satisfying and authentic.

Grab a seat on the balcony to relax and have a glass of wine.

Great food, but STAY AWAY from the creme brulee. Ironically, this is one French restaurant that can't make this classic French dessert.
