    Anything is good here. I like sticking to the Louisiana classics, however: Shrimp & Grits, Beignets, Jambalaya, etc. Be sure to write your name on the chalkboard (located inside by the register)!

    The Shrimp & Grits are really good. Don't leave without trying the beignets. Also, taste the homemade jam—try eating it with the sweet beignets or with bread.

    We came here on a Sunday morning. It was pretty packed and we had to wait a bit to get in but it was worth it! I had the French toast with the butter pecan sauce which was to die for!!

    The hostess was rude. Sandwich with different hams only tasted like pickles and olives. Omelette with shrimp and goat cheese: the shrimp was tasteless because it's just cooked in water with no salt.

    Line is long but you gotta time it perfectly so that you can grab yourself a Philz coffee walk around a little bit and come back. Shrimp and grits was my favorite along with the crawfish beignet 😋

    We LOVED the choc beignets and the shrimp and grits, and the coffee. Our waiter didn't even attempt to warn us that we were ordering way too much food - shame shame. This is a must visit in SF.

    Get the 'Hangtown Fry' w/ cheesy grits. My god it was delicious. Make sure you get there relatively early on the weekend, it'll get super packed FAST.

    Every time I'm in town I must have brunch at Brenda's. The food is consistently good. Plan to wait in line for a table but definitely worth it. Go hungry, the portions are huge.

    This place is trendy, but I waited over an hour for a table and I got mediocre eggs benedict with shrimp. The poached eggs were over cooked, like hard boiled eggs. Nice biscuits and cheap.

    Amazing ribs, the rice and beans was great too. Charming service in a lovely setting. Doesn't look like much from the outside but just wait! Write your name on the board and settle down inside :)

    There's a long line so get there early. The beignets are great, especially the savory ones. Get the goat cheese and shrimp omelette in the morning and the fried chicken or shrimp and grits for lunch.

    The hash is utterly horrible. Underseasoned potato will leave your mouth dry as a desert. Get the grits instead of the hash.

    Beignets are very good. "Hangtown" was as advertised but I don't think I like that combo of oysters and eggs. Grits were excellent, and I usually don't go for it. Serving are extra large.

    Where to begin? The goat cheese & shrimp omelet sounds strange but is really good. I substituted salsa for bacon-tomato relish, to make it vegetarian. Homemade strawberry preserves & biscuits too!

    2.5 hour wait for a group of 8. Beignet flight: delicious. Liked the crawfish one best. Got 6 different dishes for the table. Fried chicken and po'boys were great. Eggs OK. Best was shrimp grits.

    The crawfish beignet is awesome and surprisingly lighter and cleaner that I thought it would be. The dough is more like bread than like a donut. the shrimp and grits is heavy, but well worth it.
