Last two trips to Vancouver we used this instead of renting a car, and found it is a great way to get around the city. In general Vancouver public transit is quite usable and convenient.

Here's a fun game. Try getting people to smile on the SkyTrain. If they don't auto think u are a pervert, they just may smile back. 2 points for each person u get to smile at u, u don't already know.

The term Skytrain is applicable to all 3 light rapid transit lines (and soon a 4th) as it is the name of the entire network and not just 1 line, forgive the ignorance of some tippers

Busiest here during the morning rush. You can beat the line up by taking the train from Aberdeen station (one stop away)

The East staircase (closest to the Oak St bridge) is actually wider than the one in the middle of the platform. Avoid the congestion by steering clear of the center staircase.

If you miss the train to brighouse and go down to check if the 430 bus arrives, dont bother. The bus will leave and youll miss the next train. Double f'd

Well Dave, if we go on your logic than nothing should be called SkyTrain... It would be: Canada Line, Millennium Line, and Expo Line... Which would than be using your example of 'branding' for all.

If you need a cab don't use Richmond Taxi (red cabs) the drivers often don't wear their seatbelts and talk on their cell phones without hands free devices

At rush hour, if one train is packed, wait for the next to get a seat. The trains that come from YVR are mostly empty.

Going east? Don't forget that it is sometimes quicker to catch a train into waterfront, then another back out than to catch a bus direct!
