"I agree with Christopher about the bagels at Astoria Bagel Shop, BUT, they slop way too much cream cheese. BBagels is the proper ratio of bagel to cheese with a wider array of flavors."

People tend to overlook their rotating specials which is a shame because they are delicious. The earlier you come, the warmer your bagel, the larger your smile.

Possibly the best egg/cheese/bagel sandwich EVER. Get it with the everything bagel, and ask for the eggs over-easy.

Get a regular sized bagel. Seriously - if you get a mini you'll just be sad it's over so soon and be tempted to get another.

    Haley R. · April 16, 2011

  • Katie K.

Very good bagels and excellent selection of cream cheeses...but they could hold off a bit on the amount they slather on the bagel. But, it's worth it because it is so tasty.

    Katie K. · October 6, 2011
  • Johana T.

Asiago jalapeño cream cheese! Simply dreamy

This is my favorite bagels place in the city. If you're ever in doubt about the pumpkin cream cheese, do it. The bagels are amazing fluffy inside and crunchy outside. And the staff is really friendly.

    Kate B. · October 10, 2013
  • Rebeca D.

Best BLTs in Astoria hands down. Make sure you do it proper with the wheat-everything and have 'em throw on some Swiss cheese for you. Oh, trust me, it's grubbin'!

If you decide to sit&eat, make sure you're with someone or have some type of clothing article to claim your seat while you wait on the long line to order. Get creative & leave an attitude if you must.

  • Michael V.

The staff are so speedy and always polite! I get an iced coffee here almost daily and it's always perfect. Seating is rough, but we could all use a walk after eating that many carbs ;)

The regular bagels can be large and too doughy, but the minis are pretty much always perfect. Also I think the french toast bagel is KIA.

While delicious, you have to admit it isn't the best bagel in new york. That honor goes local, non-chain, to Astoria Bagel Shoppe, just a few blocks down Ditmars. but they don't do eggs/sausage...

    Christopher L. · January 15, 2012
  • Laura S.
