Getting better than before. More options to drink/eat, faster controls, bar code scanners to enter the flight area and more access options (or better parking rates).

Everything's quite fine except that there's not one bench to sit on between the car park and the entrance of the airport >> makes it very difficult for elderly people who need to rest once in a while

If you take a train from Brussels Central, it could be delayed. Airport is definitely not close to Brussels it's almost in France. And thanks new rules going through security is a long journey.

Skip the food hall and head to down to gates 1-10 where there's a Paul's kiosk with better food option

Food and drinks are extremely expensive. No free wifi available. Not a very pleasant airport to stay for long.

Airport itself is fine but its outrageous that you have to pay even if you're only dropping someone off and not parking.
  • Milan B.

Too small airport fo so many people. The express parking is for 1 € for 15 minutes - you cannot drop or pick anyone without paying.

The worst airport ever. First- ryanair never say that Scharleroi is not really Brussels. Low cost airport, tons of people, you have to walk by foot from plane to the terminal and it smells like **it

No free WiFi and €2 per 15 minutes!? Wow. Even a bus station in not so fancy Riga has free WiFi. Way to go, capital of Europe! )

Book your shuttle bus to various cities in Belgium (Brussels, Ghent, Bruges...), France and Luxembourg in advance online and pay as little as €5.

A small convenience store - named AD Delhaize - is located next to arrivals (land side) and is the cheapest place to buy a drink / snack.

It's a small and handy airport. If you are in a hurry you can pay 4€ for going through the security priority lane. Not much to do inside. There are buses connecting the airport with the main cities.

Easy access to drop off and pick up. Provided you don't spend more than 15 mins your 1€ is good.

Too far, bad connection to train station. The cheap prizes do not outweigh the 3 hour long trip I had to make to go back home to Antwerp.. Zaventem's connections by train are so much easier!

Use Flibco shuttles to get to main locations out of here. But the ticket online! Not much space to spent some time in the airport.

It's an airport, with airplanes. It's not in Brussels, it's not even close to Brussels, but you can get there by bus, or by train in about an hour. It's cheap to get here or away from here.

45-1hr travel from Brussels via shuttle. Buy souvenirs and belgian delicacies in Carrefour in Brussels. Goods at the Sky Shop are not tax free (unless stated) and are more expensive.

Little but well connected airport. For the bus that lead to the train station, turn left just outside the airport and look for the LineA buses.

Beware: there's no head nor tail to the queuing system. In fact there is no queuing system! 2 flights waiting to board & it's a guessing game to know which line to join! :-(

Go ahead, and go for a sandwich our snack at Paul's Boulangerie. It's not that cheap, but it's the just about the best food you'll find here.

For people going to Brussels, colective cabs are cheaper, quicker and more flexibles than the shuttle.

There's only one power plug to charge your phone in the whole airport and it's underneath the coffee vending machine next to the coca cola vending machine near check-in desk 25

If you need to take the shuttle bus to or from the city, and can book your tickets way in advance (more than a month) than possibly you will get them for 5 euros one way. Just check the website!

Buy the city shuttle tickets online. They got really expensive on the bus. Or get one of the taxi services for the same price.

Actually you're not in Brussels, but Charleroi. Getting to Brussel will take you another hour and a half ánd cost you around 20 euros... Just saying.

free toilets but no free wifi. Low-cost flights counterbalance the distance (bus ticket) from the city center. Train station planned but tickets will still be 10+ EUR

You can store your luggage in the lockers near the parking elevators. But keep in mind that although you rent the locker for 24 hours, once you open it, you must pay the fee again to close it :)

You can play the piano for free. Just make sure you know how to play it. Great initiative.

This airport is awful. A few tips to make life easier: 1) only reasonable food is Paul before check in. 2) arrive at terminal 2 hours ahead if you have luggage to check-in - long queues but no seating

This airport was built in 2005 and looks like a communist era build. Processes would deserve an optimization - typically no separate luggage drop - lucky that the wizzair prices are good.

If you need to get to the nearest railstation, Charleroi SUD, take the bus A. To get the schedule, download the free iPhone/Android App "ProchainBus" and look for the bus "A Charleroi SUD" Read more

Instead of the bus take a shared taxi (they leave when they reach 8 people).. The price is exacly the same (13 euro) and your trip to the center is much more comfortable..

After passing security control, prices are quite interesting: 3,5€ for a 0,5l bottle of Coke (restaurant) and 5€ for 6-pack of Jupiler beer in 0,33l cans (Duty Free shop). What will you choose? :D

I hate Ryanair...like the majority of people, but finally when comparing prices I end up flying with them. Thinking about the word to describe the feeling...is a contemporary variation of masochism!

Ignore all these silly comments. Charleroi is far more effective than Zaventem. I think all these people never experienced the 1/2 walk from the arrival gates + long wait for luggage at Zaventem.

Beware of the bus company Autocars l'Elan that goes from Brussels to the Charleroi airport. I bought online tickets, the bus didn't come and they will not pay me back despite emails and phone calls,

You can share a cab to Brussels South Station. It's about 100€. If you are 7 or 8 you'll pay 12€ each. No have to wait, cheaper and faster than the shuttle !

The bus shuttle is a service run by morons! Arrived before 12 and the first bus arrived at 15 to 2.. Di-sa-ster! Quite painful when arriving back from wonderfully organised Stockholm.

Don't try to walk to the airport (from the etap hotel for example), it's both dangerous and illegal. If shuttles are full you need a taxi.
