Cauliflower steak is incredible. So is the chicken.
The French toast is HUGE, delicious, and full of flavor. I also really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts.
Don't miss out on the private garden in the back, perfect for a summer night!
Veal bacon is awesome beignets delicious. Nice decor, pleasant atmosphere, polite if slightly excessive service
A great date spot. Beautifully decorated and warm environment. The crowd is pop and hipe. ❤ the Foie Gras, Roasted All Natural Chicken Breast, Pan Seared Branzino, Gnocchi Mac & Cheese and Pork Chops.
The pan-seared branzino was delicious. Butter-cut beef fillet was legendary. A great spot for a romantic dinner. Also, a beautiful decor and a relatively quiet restaurant.
butter is a fine dining experience. I do however advise it make a reservation it gets busy but defiantly worth the wait
Service just wasn't good at all, and for the prices, the food should be way better and more substantial!
Definitely exceeded expectations. I'm with everyone about that Brussels sprouts appetizer...excellent. Cocktails are also great, but they better be at those prices.
Take advantage of the great bar
Oh my goodness everything is marvelous here!!! Chef Alex is brilliant.
Everything is incredible. Don't miss the brussel sprout toasts and raspberry beignets for dessert.
if you havent tried the brussel sprout appetizer, then you havent lived life
Chic and popular hangout. Food will cost a pretty penny but it's worth it.
The raspberry beignets are a MUST. Polished off the plate in less than 3 minutes.
The bread is toasted to perfection, but its sea salt crusted top is the real showstopper. Absolutely divine. For an appetizer, order the Brussels sprouts with homemade ricotta
I recommend the Butter Burger or the Braised Prime Beef Short Ribs
Every steak I've had here is exquisite. I try to come here whenever I'm in town.
Gotta try the pumpkin ravioli
Came for restaurant week. Great food and our large party was treated well. Definitely recommend, whether it's restaurant week or not!
Food is pricey but oh so delicious
Great steaks and desserts. This place is under rated!
Great bar staff, but waiting team let it down. Food in our group was very hit and miss. Sadly more miss than hit.
Get the ricotta &mushroom app and the potato side!
The mashed potatoes are EVERYTHING!!!!
Venue is big and gorgeous. With Alex Guarnaschelli's name, it doesn't have a problem filling that space. Meal food is great but I was not quite satisfied with desserts...
Beignets for dessert!
Lovvvvvve the Veal Bacon & Short Ribs!
When I read the name of the restaurant I was expecting well...butter. To my joy it was more than that. If you can't pick up my sarcasm then forget you. FYI: I hate Foursquare.
I had the corn soup/ravioli/tart (for restaurant week!) it was so good I almost peed myself. That dessert reminds of Christmas.
The steak was like the name of the restaurant BUTTER. Really nice place. It is pricey though.
Burata with lavender is delicious!!
Delightful and beautiful...great atmosphere, music and service...Love it!
Very good dinner overall. DO not miss the veal bacon to start and the beignets for dessert.
Free wifi + "bone in" steak + scarlet rum punch = perfect!
Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli's
Crawfish bisque! Pasta with lamb sausage! Dobosch tart!
came 4 a work dinner & can honestly say we ordered everything on the menu! nettle ravioli and the cobbler were standouts. sooo good.
Call on an evening with bad weather, get a table for two with 30 minutes notice.
Do yourself a favor, and order the Rarebit for an appetizer. You WON'T be disappointed.
Butter Midtown has a menu that's full of hearty dishes, many of which are cooked in a wood-fired oven. Standouts include the Welsh rarebit, the roasted chicken, and the monster Tomahawk steak for two.
The midtown outpost of chef Alex Guarnaschelli's downtown American restaurant.
Garlic potatoes and the sweet corn crime brûlée! Do it.
