Nearly 20 years ago, models used to congregate here for the best Cuban corn in the city – and for late-night runway shows, of course. Still amazing maíz with cotija cheese, cayenne and mayo.

Cozy (tight) seating, but worth it. The Sloppy Jose was delicious. With just a hint of spice, it a favorite. The sandwich size is generous - I tried my best to finish it all.

Even if you just come here to try the corn it's worth it. Main restaurant is always packed but there's a takeout entrance further down the street.

The proportions here are massive. Get a burrito and definitely also order the corn. Go with an empty stomach.

Get the Cubano, have it with a salad instead of fries so you can have plenty of room for a side of plantains. The corn is a must try if this is your first time here.

The corn, and the shrimp tacos. Portions are hefty. Awesome little Mexican diner (not Cuban aside from the name and Sandwich) w great atmosphere.

Buzzing corner bar/restaurant with cramped seating. Pretty OK food but their famous corn on the cob was outdone by that at touristy (!) Toloache

Once you take a bite of the Cuban sandwich you could taste the citrus flavor in the pork! Pretty good highly recommend. Also recommend the shrimp taco! Next time I'm here I'm trying the corn 😀

Getting the corn here made me realize I should never ignore foursquare tips. Skip the fish tacos and go for the pork - FTs were just okay, nothing special.

Fish tacos and tacos al pastor are money, wish they doubled up the tortillas like most Mexican places though for structural integrity

The corn on the cob lives up to the hype. Amazing spot with a place for take out a few doors down. Delicious food with generous portions at diner style spot.

Start with two grilled corns, have some tacos or cuban sandwich, then have another two grilled corns at the end.

Aside from the Mexican corn, the food is pretty blah. Amazing old school diner feel and downtown hipsters make it worth a stop for your touristy friends tho

the Cuban Sandwiches here are a work of art, same goes for the roast pork sandwich. It's well worth spending a few extra dollars on the Mexican grilled corn.

Tables are so close together a tiny woman squeezing into the next booth almost tipped my table right over, smashing my drink. When paying, I had to ask the waitress not to charge me for it.

The corn on the cob seems to have lost its luster, but the Cubano sandwich is superbly done, with roast pork, ham, and pickles, all between toasted bread. It comes with a side of fries as well.

The grilled corn is my favorite. Their margaritas are strong and delicious! There aren't that many seats so you might have to wait a little.

Great food! Vegetarians beware, they refused to substitute any meat products for avocado. The tacos would have been great with avocado rather than chicken or pork. Sucks!

Dry meat in the Cuban sandwich. Grilled corn could have been better - I had to add hot sauce. This is a solid 3.5 star joint, much hype for what it is. There must be better.

The grilled corn comes with two but it doesn't say on the menu. Try the fish tacos.... With the jalepano margarita (strong and delicious)!! I was about to burst with happiness by the end of the meal.

A mix of Mexican and Cuban food, Cafe Habana is one of the diamonds in the rough in a city where restaurants prices can be outrageous.

I have been here a number of times before, and the food is always impeccable, but my service this evening was unacceptable--not to mention a mandatory (and illegal) 20% tip on top of that.

Food was good but terrible terrible service. Didn't get out drinks for 20 min, didn't get the corn we ordered and no one knew what was going on. I would just get take out.

If your on a date DO NOT order the corn unless your really close with each other and don't give a f**k about picking your teeth other than that it's DELICIOUS.

The corn is the best!!! And a great service from the girls. Be sure to arrive with enough time, this place can get very busy, but the wait it's really worth it!

Eat like you're in your own nyc apartment, with 20 of your friends, all squeezed together but all full of courtesies. Corn is the bomb and the sloppy pepe for brunch is the perfect portion

They basically pay you to eat the huevos rancheros here. They're solid, and the cheapest good lunch you can get in Soho: $6.50.

Best place for solo eating: you can sit at the bar, the people watching is always entertaining, and you can get steak and eggs anytime of day.

We were three to unanimously agree that this place serves the best corn on the cob we've ever had. Try it. The Mexican firing squad is also delicious.

Nice place, although not the best cuban sandwich in the city but pretty good. The Mexican corn with chilly powder and cheese is fantastic! The waitress Elle, is absolutely the coolest! :)

Food is amazing... But the girls behind the counter at the take out restaurant could use a major attitude adjustment... Just b/c you're ugly doesn't mean that you can be a bitch to the hot clientele.

avoid back left corner table. its next to bathroom. very bad. be ready for every Asian person there to ask you to shoot their photo while they eat corn. get it to go and sit outside.

Fooled by the name, many people wrongly believe this is a Cuban restaurant. Astute readers of the menu know that only Mexicans call a sandwich a "torta". Get the signature torta cubana and a cocktail.

The grilled corn is amazing. I had the Cuban sandwich as well--def a good choice. Just be warned that if you ask for extra sauce (chipotle mayo) they'll hit you with an addtl $1.50 on the bill.

The takeout/delivery menu is different than the dine-in menu. Take out is limited, but the Steak Torta is delicious and delivery super-speedy. The Mexican corn can be considered a tourist attraction.

worth the wait for a table: i call their corn, "magic corn" sweet & delicious. i'm a fan of the mango daiquiri & the Sincronizada with green habanero sauce also addicted to their yellow rice.

Ditto everyone on the corn. The camarones were a little over cooked, buy sauce was delicious. Fish tacos great (though fried). Friendly waitstaff, prepare to wait a while before tables are available.

I can't seem to order anything but the grilled corn, skirt steak with rice and beans, and a mojito. Small space is annoying but can easily be overlooked.

The corn is amazing but even more amazing when you've had one too many drinks. I literally just go there 2 eat the corn. Go next door & get it 2 go for your quick corn fixes ;)
