Typical new wave coffee shop vibe. Perfect for working. They brew their sister shop's coffee – Metric. It's too one-note for me, so I'd recommend the Intelligentsia a few blocks East.

This coffee shop serves up some serious Joe in the form of Metric Coffee pour-overs, Chemex & cortados. Seating is spaced out among rows of high-top counters ideal for camping out solo with a laptop. Read more

Grab a window seat in West Town and enjoy the neighborhood to a latte or Nitro Brew made from Metric Coffee beans. Great service and vibe inside the shop. Plenty of outdoor seating options available.

I normally have no complaints, but maybe ask you employee/owner(?) & friend NOT to stand at the bar blocking patrons from their orders when the place has plenty of other spots to chit chat.

Best coffee in town, just don't expect it to be hot by the time they serve you. Starting with water at 160F and then slowly brewing it means it's only tepid by the time you drink it.
