People tend to check in during these times:
Great exhibits. Exotic animals and such. Awesome experience though they have issues to deal with at times.
Visited the new Enmax sponsored indoor garden facility
Hippos mark their territory by whispering sweet nothings... make sure you get as close as possible and be at the front of the line... ;)
Don't even bother with the dinosaur section. There is nothing but a handful of statues and a lot of fake rock.
Go to Siberian /Bengal tiger exhibit.
The penguins are here! Expect to wait in line for an hour to see them!
Favorite place to go with the kiddo.
The line up for penguins is insane right now. 90+ minutes so be sure to get there for opening.
While you are at the Zoo lights make sure you come say Hi to Santa at Santavision.tv
aaaamazing *-* i like it
This is the world famous Calgary Zoo. One of the best Zoos in North America!
My 1 and 4 year old boys loved it and a steal of a price right now!
On a grey afternoon even w/o the island access there's still so much to see and do. Just ask my 4YO. Today we caught the Wagon Stage and visited the Dinosaurs.
Awesome zoo. Don't go on a weekend or holiday if you can avoid it.
Get to the Penguin March by 10:30 for a good spot.
Go on a semi rainy day and avoid the line ups!!
We visited the big cats a little after noon and they had just been fed. Very active! Also, one of the elephants is due to give birth in January of 2013!
This is a nice place 2 go 2 and see the monkeys in Calgary.
I spend the whole day there
If you have kids them buy the wristband for the train and carousel to save some money.
Pack a lunch, bring water bottles. It's cheaper and it reduces trash.
Go on a snowy day you'll have the whole place yourself!
A big shout out to my buds!
Not on the top of my list of best or favorite zoos. The gorillas are obviously distressed with a lack of stimulation and overall care of animals was basic. Importance seems to be placed on visitors.
The best Place to look at animals. See the different amimals at the zoo including bears, birds and more.
