It is a cave with seven chambers and is one of many popular attractions in Cagayan. It has a natural cathedral located at the first chamber, turned into a chapel by the locals. Every chamber has crevices, which let light in serving as illumination to the otherwise dark parts of the cave.
Histoic and amazing
Must also try a boat ride in Mororan to witness the amazing flight of the bats out of the caves at sunset.
There's a fork somewhere going to the cave (5km mark). You can: 1. Go up,travel 5kms to the cave; 2. Go down, travel 2-3kms 'til you reach a boat. P40 for round trip to entrance. Ideal for trikes
There is a tour guide who'll guide you inside the cave. Though the guide doesn't charge you for the service he'll provide, just give a generous amount for his/her efforts.
Prepare 20php as entrance fee to the cave.
If you would just like to look at the chapel, you have to finish 183 steps and it will take 1hr and 30min for you to go there. But if you want to finish all the chambers, it will take a whole day ☺
Cooler inside than outside the cave!
Want to get to the 6th and 7th chamber? Wear amphibious trek shoes
Nice cave with very interesting stuff inside. Though they can only let you see up until the 5th chamber, it's a must visit still in the province.
Go here in the afternoon, say 4pm. After going inside the cave, wait for the bats to come out from the caves.
