People tend to check in during these times:
Mother Church of the Anglican Communion and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Cathedral is both a holy place and part of a World Heritage Site.
Look for the wonderful Herb Garden (near the Cloister) to enjoy one of the most relaxing places in the Cathedral.
The Canterbury Tales, by Geoffrey Chaucer: This was where the pilgrims in Chaucer's stories were heading during their storytelling.
Free entrance over Easter.
A beautiful place, especialy at night
We got into the courtyard for free today Sunday after 15hs, worth a try!
£9.50 to visit a not so special church is a bit of a rip off to be honest. The entrance is the nicest. Visit the town. It's more beautiful. And for free.

A must see. Absolutely beautiful. Watch for the (sleepy) cathedral cat.
Go in for service and it's free

Checkout the roof
Free entry in the evening.
Don't upset the King while occupying the role of Archbishop of this town.
Enjoy Evensong, beautiful choral service at 15h15.
Rip-off, don't even bother try take a photograph as you won't be able to get closer without paying. I can understanding paying to get in, but not to take a picture of the cathedral from the yard.
Free entrance from 3 not sure if just on Sundays and everyday. Very disappointed because I have paid 10£ entry ticket this morning.
Come during the last weekend of May for the open gardens. Simply breathtaking.
Very expensive to get in and unfortunately not much to see for free
