Don't ever do a down and back! Just keep going to Georgetown and catch the metro back. Otherwise it's a long rough uphill the whole way.

Nice trail. Great way to walk from MoCo to DC...and back again. Half marathon training location.

I enjoy walking the trail. Major shortcut to Bethesda Row. Lots of people on it during the afternoon.

The trail was formerly used as the Georgetown Branch rail line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad!

The tree covered trail helps keep it cooler on hot days. Watch out for blind curves and please stay to the right and try not to walk 3 and 4 abreast.

I never listen to my iPod on this trail - too many people on it for you to be plugged in and miss someone yelling out, "On the left!" and then get crashed into.

Great trail for the bike commuter. You definitely need serious lights after dark. While I have always felt safe riding it at any hour, others may not.
