People tend to check in during these times:
Walk left, stand right on the escalators.
Closest to Cannon HOB.
Close to Rayburn!
Close stop to the Rayburn building.
I can't remember the last time the down escalator was actually running.
Pick up your trash, no one likes finding empty soda cans and discarded newspapers on the train.

During normal operations, the doors open on the LEFT at this station.

Though the view of the Capitol at the top of the escalator is breathtaking, don't stop moving and block the people behind you.

Use the elevator. Even if you have to wait for it it's faster than going down the long escalator. You avoid the cold wind tunnel too.
When using the escalators, stand on the right and walk on the left.

Noon to 1 pm is busiest with Hill staffers getting subs for their entire office. Wait until 1 for a shorter wait!
