Love this place, but don't tell. Sensational.
Awesome place for bearded hipster spotting
Ask for the homemade ginger beer!
The homemade ginger beer is fantastic.
go in and relax. Reward yourself with a coffee and a blue vein cheese baguette
It may be gauche to complain about serving size, but $19.50 is rather too much for two slices of duck breast and a small handful of leaves.
Home made ginger beer. Do it.
Captains of uber cool.
Very average long Mac. Far better options in the immediate vicinity. Fantastic decor and environment though.
I'd leave a tip, but I want to keep this place to myself... Oops.
This place is absolutely oozing with character. Old time charm, leather workshop on the side. I wish I lived here!
Speak to the guys from Roberts and Hassett, they make bespoke leather shoes and they're awesome
Great place for older than tiny kids.. So many interesting things to explore
They have a special Saturday breakfast menu including various egg dishes. Yes!
Good Coffee + The Rip ~ Portishead
Chicken and coleslaw sandwich. Perfect!
Get them to tailor a suit for you, or cobble some shoes.
The barber (Sam) is a legend. Ring ahead to make sure he's in.
I could easily make this place my second office
Amazing, old timey cafe - if you can find it.
Dripping with hipster chic.
This, now licensed, cafe shucks oysters on Friday nights.
Sad to report that Captains are no longer open for breakfast but the good news is that dinner is now available.
Don't eat here when it's relatively busy. Waited an hour for my bacon and egg baguette and it wasn't even their usual serve. Not impressed.
Potato and leek soup is so good!
Love this cute little place. Has decent sandwiches too.
very hip. good food.
Now well and truly "discovered". No longer a quiet and quirky cafe, it's hipster central and very loud at lunch times. Still worth visiting, but no longer any good for a quiet conversation.
Great spot but unfortunately it's the second time I've been here when they have run out of bread. It was only 2pm. Most items on menu unavailable. Exit stage left-disappointed.
the homemade lemonade is brill!
jonathan richman's icecream man live playing on the turntable - total boston rock cred here
