Carens wine and cheese is a quaint, rustic French restaurant specializing in a vast selection of wine and cheese from all over the world.
Expensive. Lovely patio. Good service. Chocolate fondue is to die for. Wine list is great with Old World, but the New World wine selection is poor beyond belief.
Didn't love the service but that may have been due to being there with a large group. The food was just ok but I'd probably give it another shot.
Try the Chocolate Fondue (via @Foodspotting)
The best wine and cheese bar in Toronto by far. Try the cheese fondue
Best time to go is a warm summer evening to for the fantastic (romantic and cozy) patio in the back.
One of the best bowls of pasta I've had in ages! Delish!
The back patio is magical
Sunday brunch: bad service, great savory salmon crepes
Delicious cheese, great wine list, great space and patio. Bit stingy on the garnishes to the cheese plates.
I think this was Caren's house. And then she turned it into a bar.
Spicy Mac and cheese, cheese plates and patio... In love
Can't get enough of the fondue and try it with green apples. What a treat
Goat cheese platter is a crowd pleaser (though I'm partial to the yorkville platter)
Enjoy the playlist while dining. Caught my attention when Maxwell came through the speakers :)
Cozy patio in the back, oysters and large wine selection.
enjoy pimm's in the tucked away patio at the back of the restaurant. need i say more?
Check out the new wines for the spring-summer season!!
Excellent. Be sure to check out Niagara's wines and Quebec's cheese. Great local find!
