Some of the products were a bit too heavy on sugar and butter, but overall a great experience.
Cannoli are amazing?
Cupcakes and cookies are nice
A bit overpriced but some of the treats are worth it.
Place was very nice (especially) the new renovation that opened the kitchen so customers can see it. I ordered my food a few days before so there was no wait.
Everything we had was wonderful!
No wait at all. Just went in and picked out what we wanted. Very friendly staff
Great service at the original location. Yummy cannolis, sesame cookies and crumb cake
A must visit in Hoboken, get the mini berry cheesecake for two
Tried the lobster tail, red velvet cupcake, famous coffee cake -- all disappointing. Had the pignoli cookies and they were great. Overall, overhyped. Go only if there is not a massive line.
Love their cakes for a small group. A little pricey but worth it. Good selection. Great cannolis and biscotti. Lobster tails are the best here!
It's not good, but not bad either. Definitely overrated though, Bruh!
Be patient and you'll taste wonderful treats here! Red Velvet and Peanut Butter's cupcakes are delicious!
As seen on the food network this bakery specializes in cakes. I loved the crumb cake and the mini red velvet cake. We also tried assorted cookies and Nutella linzer tart.
I loved the place. Is pretty crowed during all day, but take your number and be patience to choose, because the food is great
Love it !!
Red Velvet...Red Velvet...Red Velvet!
The Canolis are incredibles! Get there early
Yumm - everything is good
Very good place
Nothing wow, the cakes are average. it's just because it's famous is cool, better go to the pizzeria in the corner: Basile's.
Prepare to wait
No line at all on a Wednesday afternoon.
Not the best bakery in Hoboken.
Overrated and overpriced. Avoid the brownies--sweet and bland. Cupcakes are cold and somewhat dry. Lobster tail is good, but one is more than enough. Go at night to avoid the long line, ~8:30pm.
Great visit if you're a fan of the show, though expect long lines and no cast members
Johnny & Baby @ Carlo's Bake Shop
Cute shop and admirable family business, but it's a bakery not a flu shot clinic. I stood in line f/ 40mins to get inside and waited another 30mins to order. Worth stopping by, not worth waiting 1hr+.
"Leave the gun. Take the lobster tails."
The lines get very long here. Show Hoboken residency and you'll get to the head of the line.
You must get the lobster tails!
I came here and I verified that the Cake Boss cakes are not only beautiful, they are delicious too.
Not worth the wait or money
The most delicious things: chocolate hazelnut cream puffs.....uhmmmmm
Not worth the wait, if you are looking for something sweet go down the street to Crumbs
Village Voice is proud to welcome Carlo's Bake Shop to the 2014 Choice Eats food fest! http://bit.ly/1cRzdNV. There's a good reason this bakery has been in business for over a decade.
Very small bakery and it gets crowded. The cappuccino was great and so was moms favorite and the pecan snowballs. Traveled from Los Angeles!! Worth the trip!!
great lobster tails. We got there at 9 on a Friday, walked right in. Lucky!
This was not worth the ridiculous wait. Don't do it.
Yummy))) but it's too many people >_<
You can do a workshop in the Carlos Factory. Awesome.
Prepare to wait....line ridiculous
Love it!! Best bakery ever.
It's good, not great. The lobster tails are good. But not worth the wait.
Long line! Didn't get to go in much before we were rudely told to wait in line. So I have no clue how the pasteries were which sucks since I love the show and wanted to buy.
