Casa de Fruta is family owned and operated roadside establishment that combines lodging, restaurant, wine, sweets, amusement and fruits all into a one!
Love the ice cream shop and this last time we were there they had a craft fair going on. I love feeling like I am taking a trip to the farmers market. :)
Great pit stop if you're on your way to the bay or the Central Valley. Great options to buy things by the pound. Don't forget to say hi to one of the many peacocks roaming free.
Wide selection, but honestly a little overpriced. If you're driving through the state, it would probably be more worthwhile to stop at local fruit stands rather than this one.
Always stop for the Casa de Bathrooms.
I always stop here for a bathroom break on my way to Monterey or Santa Cruz. Get yourself a good caffeinated drink and something to snack on to stay awake on your drive.
Free wifi in the coffee shop.
This used to be a nice stop with good fruit to buy. Now it's just a giant tourist trap. The strawberries I bought were moldy by the next day. Skip it...
The website hours for certain attractions (Casa De Choo Choo) were incorrect. Call beforehand!
Chocolate, melted in warm weather and still $18 a pound for 3.5 oz
Love this place i grew up here 2 blocks away over the river
The restrooms are free!
The dried pineapple is the best! Don't forget to check out all of the sauces and Pom Wine is yummy!
Best place to stop going over Pacheco Pass.
I agree with Michael... clean bathrooms and a myriad of fruits and wine! Kids heaven with the assortment of candy too!
Far too overpriced.
BLT has lots of bacon but not much tomatoes
They have these insane delicious peanut butter cups!
Lol why do we have to specifically save our shit for this place? <3
I'm amazed that those peacocks don't get hit! Be careful when you drive!
I had breakfast (an omelette) in the restaurant, yesterday. It was good & reasonably priced — even the coffee was excellentwhich is something I seldom say in the US.Beautiful fruit not great prices.
Only place I know to taste Pomegranate wine...interesting
Apricot Tangos. Get a bunch of them. No one else carries them.
I love the peacocks that roam free around the parking lot. Classic blues, but also some quite beautiful white ones and green ones! Snap a photo, you can get quite close.
One stop great shop
This place is expensive. Be careful. It should be called "casa de rip off".
Restaurant food is good. The wine tasting is free! Pomegranate wine is actually pretty good! Playground for kids, merry go round is coo and the zoo is too. Clean bathrooms a plus
Guava, prickly pear, and blackberry jelly. Get them
Tequila lime pistachios are Bomb
Get on the spinny thing.. INSANE!
Wish I could.
Make sure the cashier girl counts your money out loud or you will spend 30 minutes waiting for the manager to count out the register only to find out she DID rip you off $20
Great place for per break, clean bathrooms, restaurant, gas, candy, road food shop
Have some pie, all of the pies are great.
Please wash your hands.
Great place for family fun!
Theres 2 wine tasting spots.....that means 6 samples!
Don't drive tired stop for a hot drink. Coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte or mocha :)
Pomegranate wine is amazing!
Try the Garlic Shrimp with Pasta - It is with Alfredo Sauce ^_^
Chocolate strawberries mmm good. :)
Ask for Kathi for your waitress. She is beyond awesome!
Service is pretty slow but it's a cool little place
Open 24 hours and breakfast is served around the clock. Great place to break after long drives.
$3.99 for a pound of grapes. Ridiculous.
They give out free fudge samples!
I highly recommend taking a shit here if you have the chance.
