Awesome ice rinks
Serene and not as crowded as the southern part of the park.
Beautiful views. Look out for the turtles!
My tbt New york
Sunset is the best over the Harlem Meer.
Getting ready for a 15 mile run with the New York road runners.
The Harlem Meer is an idyllic section of Central Park.
Think of this as the JKO Reservoir of the north. It's roughly 1 mile of mostly asphalt or gravel around the meer, making it a great running route. Plus there are plenty of hilly detours if you choose.
I love my neighborhood park. It's a beautiful and peaceful urban oasis
I love my neighborhood. This is one of my favorite chill spots!
Dog off leash hours are open to 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. to close.
Fishing here is for practice only, meaning that you have to return the fish to the lake except for one species that is extremely invasive. Be sure to read the signs for more info and pics of the fish.
good fun fishing w/ little people...
It's a beautiful part of the park, but unfortunately under lots of construction right now. ):
If you love dogs or have a dog this is the place to be. It's a pleasant morning run for me. Starts to get a little busy about 7:45 during the week.
A hidden gem at the northeast end of Central Park, and among the most beautiful, elegant and serene offerings from the world's greatest natural resource.
You won't find a swarm of map carriers like downtown, in this park. Come for solitude and peace. The occasional festival makes it's presence in summer months. Perfect for sky gazing and blade blazing.
It is a nice swam
I know the sign says, "Do not feed animals" but feed the ducks & tiny birds anyway! Avoid pigeons at all costs!
Last performance of the summer, Afro Cuban Music. It's always great here. :-)
Swing by Ottomanelli's on the east side of the part or Bier International on the west side for a brew.
beautiful lake with swans, lots of hills and rocks to climb facing the lake. follow path along fifth ave and you will come to the nature conservatory full of beautiful flowers.
Don't miss the annual Pumpkin Sail, when a flotilla of jack o’ lanterns are launched at sundown. BYOP if you want to launch your own creation into the fray.
During the summer this is the place to be for great world music, between sunning, fine picnic food and just a great experience (not a bad place to people watch too).
There's an interesting dynamic to this part of the park compared to other parts of CP.
