The gardens are absolutely beautiful
Absolutely amazing. This is a must see. I recommend coming in spring/early summer when the gardens are in bloom.
Of course chateau is unforgettable, amazing... But also look for the garden, specially Neptun fountain.
The visit is really worth and the ticket is not expensive: only 15€ including the audioguides. The chateau is magnificent and kept in a good status.
Gardens magnificient! Enjoy a nice walk!!!
DO NOT come on a Monday... Castle was closed! 😢 So we walked the entire Chanal (seriously) and it was wonderful. Will be back someday to see the inside but certainly the outiside is worth your while!
meh. Big place. Mediocre interior.
Don't miss it ! about 45 minutes far from paris last metro station, It's really worth to visit & read about it befor visiting
A must see, in easy reach by RER from central Paris. Make sure to get the audio guide, you'll miss great background otherwise and the movies about the history of Versailles play audio through them.
Louis XIV spent 50% of the country's GDP building this. No wonder they ended up killing off the monarchy. Revolution!
The park is an amazing place for a walk in Sunday. If you just want to benefit from it for free just enter from back entrance (3 km from main one)
Notice that the Palaces of Trianon and Marie-Antoinette's Estate is 25 min walk from the palace, the mini train is €7.5 round trip. So you might end up paying €10.5 for the Palaces of Trianon.
You have to have at least 7 hours to see this place and gardens.. Amazing
Beautiful grounds but the palace is packed!
Free entry but long queue on the first Sunday of each month.
Amazing experience, going to marie antoinette estate and village is amazing and must
Overcrowded...but the Gardens and all small residences should be seen!
I highly recommend doing a Blue Bike Tour of the grounds. Got to see so much of Versailles I wouldn't have gotten to see otherwise.
Once upon time There were royals in France knew heaven on earth. Magnificent palace explains why the French Revolution took place.
It's a must visit master piece ! Specially the gardens and the fountains. Fountain shows are on Saturdays and Sunday's only till end of Oct. The line is forever long, worth to book a tour to skip line
Tuesdays and weekends extra 7€ entrance for running fountains and extended admittance to smaller gardens within.
Thanks for the strike guys
huge and beautiful gardens.. enjoy it during sunset in october
After ogling the beautiful interior of the château, be sure to check out current installation by Anish Kapoor in the gardens. The whirlpool is ominously beautiful.
Hall of mirrors. So much fun to imagine life there.
A bit further from the city but the visit is worth it.
Skip the chateau. Don't miss the gardens !!
Beautiful place! But get there super early or be ready to wait at least 2hours in line to get it
Do not bother going on a cold rainy day. You won't get the best out of the gardens. Wish we could have rented bicycles and rode around the grounds all afternoon. Next time.
It closes every Monday but you can enjoy the gardens 😊
Amazing place, so huge I couldn't visit everything. Wear light clothes and comfortable shoes, have a bottle of water, a camera ready and enjoy!
Can't take my eyes from it.
Beware of the line to actually get in (line snaked through the courtyard, took >1 hour). Well worth the wait, though!
Too many people are there, cannot see rooms very much.
this castle needs a whole day to explore! big garden behind with very beautiful environment
Heaven on earth... The most gorgeous palace created
Awesome Hall of the Mirrors and Hall of the Battles. Visit the Garden before, at noon the line is a little bit less crazy than in the morning
Very busy but great place to see once in a lifetime
A must have visit in Paris
The lines get pretty massive, but the gardens are wide open. Everything here is beautiful.
L'incontournable palais français.
There is always a big queue on the entrance. But the officers arrange it very organised and it did not took too long to get in the area. Especially, gardens must be seen.
Go early on a week day! Went on a Sunday afternoon, it was a mad house! The garden is amazing, rent a golf cart early to get around and explore!
It is a huge palace but the garden.. Is that a garden or a whole county?!
The palace is magnificent but the gardens wouldn't mind more watering and the fountains could be working for that entry fee.
Do not miss the Battles Gallery. Maybe the most impressive part of the whole house.
The entire estate is truly a sight to behold, but I was most impressed with the individual sections of garden, which each have their own theme. Spend some time getting lost out there.
Skip the main palace and just do a picnic in the gardens.
Famous colonial monument where a big part of France history have been handle...:-) 4 wonderful gardens, a lot of royal goods...
