Downtown Calgary’s best new destination restaurant, bar and gathering place. Serving local chef-driven, urban-rustic cuisine.
Had one of the best meals of my life here. Connie, the head chef, placed 3rd in top chef Canada a few years ago. Highly recommend.
Used to be my favorite restaurant in yyc but the last two times I went service was lame and the plates that used to be amazing were just "ok" Seems like they are dropping the ball after Charbar opened
Delicious! Try the duck fat poutine. Lunches are as good as dinners and the warm bag of cookies is a nice treat :)
Best in town. From the octopus as starter to the bison brisket and their fish, everything is very flavorful. If you want a good meal, come here.
The brussel sprouts are deadly! Highly recommend.
The pig's head mortadella is everything.
Everything tastes great in this trendy restaurant of one of Top Chef Canada's finalists! What can I say? :)
Hunter's pie is worth the wait delicious as was zucchini and potato side
Beets, pig head mortadella and butcher steak are outstanding. My favorite restaurant in the city
The duck fat poutine is a must! Amazing
Great relaxed atmosphere and fantastic draft and bottled beer selection.
We were blown away by 50% of the dishes we ordered - heirloom beet salad, bone marrow/escargot, and the black garlic pasta w cheek. Do yourself a favor, and skip the prime rib. Service was slow.
If you have a group have the server do up the sampler plate. It's worth it
Had dinner at the bar - lamb. Good and fast service. Cheers
Sharing is an excellent way to try a bit of everything on the menu. If they are offering the chorizo and Jalapeño - do it - you won't be disappointed if you like meat and spicy hotness! Enjoy.
You have to try the deserts! AMAZING!
Hands down get the Share burger, melon salad, chicken, prime rib, and charred broccolini
The char board is amazing!!!
Awesome decor - great service and very tasty drinks :)
The hand made mortadella is amazing paired with the Novy zin
Maybe it's a Canadian thing but you can only eat well done meat here and thats that.
Are you ready for CHARCUT's charPOP 2.0 ... This January! #charPOPluck #offTHEhook #nextLEVEL
Sometimes a good tip to squeeze into popular place is to take a seat at an eating bar. This isn't a good tip here. Their eating bar faces a windowed meat locker that can be a little graphic!
Bone Marrow and Escargot w/ sea salt and crustini
We love the bag of warm cookies included in their in-and-out lunch (45 minutes, $15). Such a nice touch!
Try the famous and increasingly less secret Alley Burger.
Get the Duck Fat Poutine. Charcut is also great for lunch, love the $15 set menu. Yeah Cookies!
Their menu changes daily so check their website before coming over and excite your taste buds! For an intimate feel, reserve for dinner time!
Local, chef-driven, urban rustic cuisine. The “CHAR” in Charcut stands for custom built Rotisserie, while “CUT” stands for vintage-style slicer and hand-crafted charcuterie eating bar.
Get the in and out lunch!
Sit at the bar, staff are fun to talk to of your alone.
Wonderfully delicious #glutenfree versions of some menu items are also available
Don't leave without trying the famous Charcut Burger w/ raclette cheese & fried egg. And say hi to Chef Connie, she's a dream.
Enjoyed the duck fat fried poutine...
Follow the chefs on Twitter @charcut. Anyone had an Alley Burger yet?
The Roasted Ceaser is to die for!!
The $15 and $25 lunch plates are an awesome deal!
The half chicken is wonderful- split it. Don't miss your sides of veggies!
A bag of warm homemade cookies for dessert. Do you need to know anything else?
