No substitutions. Refuses to separate the check if you’re in a group. And the food was bland. There’s so many better BBQ options in Memphis.

Outstanding BBQ. Well worth the wait. The prices are reasonable. The ribs and chicken are outstanding. The rub and sauces live up to the hype. Must try in Memphis.

I believe that the Rendezvous has the best rib in the entire world. I like them so much, I ate there two night in a row. I'd travel at least 100 of miles out of my way to eat there if I was traveling.

I still prefer Central or Payne's BBQ. Very friendly staff, excellent ribs, and one of the few places to have mustard slaw. Being downtown it does tend to cater to the touristy crowd.

Real Memphians know this place is all hype. Is this place an institution? Yes. Unfortunately it has lost its luster. There are so many places that you can find much better ribs. This is a tourist trap

I'm from Memphis and this place was a disappointment. I would recommend skipping this place and going to Jacks ribs off Summer ave. They have more meat and way more flavor!
