    If you are looking for a place to grab some quick zZzZ's check out the flat benches by the window in B8, all other benches have arms so you can't sprawl out but these two blue benches are hidden gems!

    For a great & cheap Southern meal or all day breakfast, stop by Bojangles at the end of Concourse B. Great biscuits, fried chicken, dirty rice and sweet tea! Sweet tea up on the rocking chairs b/w B&C

    Very nice airport. Free wifi in all terminals as long as you sign up with one sponsors. There is a row of rocking chairs where you can recharge your phone or plug in. I also liked the rolling carpets

    If you're not comfy with restroom attendants, use the "family" restroom. My experience is that they're usually empty b/c families aren't using them so they're a breeze to get in and out. Just FYI :o)

    Free wifi, AWESOME food, white rocking chairs throughout, plentiful windows and vistas; it is an excellent and charming airport. I go out of my way to come here, and enjoy any layover I get.

    Simply by its designation (CLT), it rates high on my favorite airports. Also, it has Bojangles Fried Chicken and an overall nice selection of food outlets. Needs more charger plugs at Gate B tho, imo.

    Head over to main Atrium between Concourse B and C to listen to live pianist. They are usually there in the evenings and sometimes during the day.

    If you use the curbside valet and are TSA Pre Approved you can pull up to the airport and be at your gate in 10 minutes or less. You gota love that!

    FREE WiFI. Love the rocking chairs and live piano music in atrium. Lots of places to plug in if you look around. Seems like some of the moving sidewalks are always broken.

    One of my favorite airports for layovers and such. They've got what I call The Huge Hall of Rocking Chairs which is Sooo relaxing, and a great place for people watching.

    If you are in terminal B looking for tasty food at a decent price. Go to Bojangle's famous fried chicken and biscuits. Dirty rice as a side is yummy.

    Executive Shoe Shine near Starbucks is the best of any airport or anywhere I've seen. They use a butane torch in one of the like 10 phases to melt the polish.

    One of the best airports in the US. It's huge, but easy to navigate if you pay attention. Great shopping over long layovers, or just chill in one of the quaint rocking chairs throughout the airport.

    The Carolinas Aviation Museum is only a 5 minute taxi ride from the airport’s main terminal. The museum has an extensive collection of planes and a great observation deck.

    One of the best airports in the world. Lots of amenities, free wi-if, flights rarely delayed and efficient. If you don't like it, you clearly don't travel enough.

    If you have a long layover, take a peek at Charlotte-Douglas' public viewing spot. Watch planes take off, land, and taxi to/from the runway at one of the best airport views in the U.S.

    Hit Bojangles, Terminal B for some good fried chicken. Get a dinner w mash & get some hot sauce & grape jelly for ur biscuit, on the biscuit put some chicken, mash, hot sauce & jelly and enjoy!!

    If you can get to the main terminal there are a lot of good food options. Use the GateGuru app for lots of flying conveniences like where to find food & stores plus important flight info!

    The main concourse is a paradise compared to the four gate areas. Grab some decent sushi there and rock the white chairs while you watch the mini vintage planes go round hanging above the sushi place

    The curbside valet is a great service; I wouldn't have made my outbound flight otherwise! Plus my car was waiting for me after texting my claim ticket number from the gate. Worth the $$$ in a pinch!

    Sprinter to downtown leaves every 20 minutes, gets to the Downtown Transit Center in about 20 minutes & costs $2 each way (2013). Helpful drivers will direct you to transfers for your hotel downtown.

    Long layover? Chill out at the First in Flight bar, while enjoying the live pianist and the interesting mobile/sculpture above your seat. There are power outlets under the bar!

    If you are a Military Veteran be sure and visit the USO. The bathrooms are clean and stocked w/mouth wash, toothpaste etc. There is plenty of yummy food too. Plus, comfy recliners, tv and computers.

    There are many moving sidewalks which make navigating this expansive airport a little challenging. The rocking chairs are a unique southern touch. Also plenty of shopping!

    A great place to get wifi, power, a stool and a bar to work on is the Cinnabon by Gate E3/4. next to the soda case.Buy something if you will sit here, don't be a freeloader.

    This is my home airport and I'm here almost every week. I finally tried First In Flight sushi and I was impressed. A great on the go alternative meal.

    If you ever get the chance to go to Einsteins Bagel on the E concourse it's a little walk from the main atrium but there breakfast/lunch/dinner are amazing!

    1897 Market has a great "Dirty" mac n cheese with pork in a beer fondue sauce. The Olde Mecklenburg Oktoberfest Pale Ale was fantastic.

    Customer service all over this airport has always been superb! Darrell took great care to get me from concourse A to C with last minute change in his cart. Been delayed here a lot always leave happy.

    A lot of places to eat, get something to read and rocking chairs to relax if you got before your flight. Security checkpoint has, for me, been very quick, 10 to 15 min waiting time.

    As a non-rev, I come here often.... If you have down time, it's easy to find an outlet away from the crowds. Especially in Terminal E- I've caught up on many tv shows there with great secure wifi

    There are really nice rocking chairs to relax and wait in while you're laid over. Also, the indoor trees and the whole open plaza/street atmosphere is relaxing!

    Large airport. Lots of walking but plenty of areas to rwlax in a rocking chair and plenty of food options. For a layover this is one of the better places to do it.

    Bad Daddy's burgers in terminal C are awesome. I'm a pilot based at the CLT and in my personal opinion it's the best sit-down dining in the airport. I'm a veggie and they have vegetarian options too!

    There's a lady who restocks the concession stands, she's always singing or whistling and sometimes dancing. She waves and sings hello to everyone. Be on the lookout for her. She rocks.

    Don't forget to grab a snack for our troops at any of the little stores. There is a basket you can pick from and they put all the donated snacks in the USO. Show a little love.

    You'll have no trouble navigating this airport due to the hundreds of Special Assistance carts darting in and out of the crowds. Grab one to avoid the walk to your gate. Everyone is doing it.

    Gates B11-B16 seem to be the most congested when I'm here if I have time to sit,I do it in the rocking chairs before I have to get to the gate, at the gate if you want to sit you sit on the floor

    If you have difficulty walking, be sure to take advantage of the cart service. It is very easy. If you sit in the red seats, the cart will pick you up.

    Power ports are getting easier to find but you still have to jockey for them. There are large video ad billboards and those have plugs underneath

    If you are flying out of terminal C and want a snack/meal, be sure to grab it on your way from a different terminal. Not a lot of choices in C. Overall, nice airport!

    Moving walkways were designed to expedite the process of walking through the large airport. Don't clog it up. Keep walking people... It is NOT a ride. Disney World rides only an hour flight away... ;)

    For those that fly out early on weekdays , you can avoid long lines at security if you walk down to Concourse D for check in. Then once through security you can walk to your terminal/gate.

    Cheapest bottled water/pop/Gatorade in concourse C is at News2You. Seriously bottles of water are a dollar cheaper than stores in the main shopping area.

    Free WI-FI is nice, except it is up/down off/on. Each time it reconnects, you MUST accept the Terms of Usage! Not sure if it is worth it - reconnect in Food Court, between Concourses, and even Gates!

    Be ready for a dash across this airport. I suspect schedulers are having fun watching the run from E gates to B with short connections. They even stop many of the moving walkways for additional laughs

    You are dead if u have connecting flights at different terminals. I had to run all the way from terminal E to B. They had a zillion moving sidewalks to help reach terminals faster. But still din help!

    Charlotte is one if the nations better airports. However, what backwards southern fu#k engineered the third runway? Have to cross an ACTIVE runway to get to or from the third runway. LONG WAITS!

    Look for the row of white rocking chairs along the moving walkway under the skylight. There's a decent internet connection, plenty of places to plug in, and a live jazz pianist.

    If you're on a long layover in Gate E, count the ceiling lights to see if I"m right. There are 306 hanging and ceiling tile lights in each.

    Unless you have a long layover the airport is horrible!!! You have to walk 5miles to get to a connecting flight! Everyone is so nice but if I am running late MOVE OVER southern hospitality my ass! :)

    This airport is huge, people walk REALLY slow and don't get the concept of stand to the right/walk to the left on the people movers. So be patient and hope you have 10-15 min between flights.

    E Concourse really blows for getting in/out. Those walkways suck at getting a person clear across the airport to catch a connection. Especially, when people just stop to let the walkway carry them.

    This airport has gotten so busy that there simply isn't enough space for the humans trying to move between planes. Like trying to pull a suitcase through time square. Plan extra time in layover.

    There's only one sit-down restaurant in neglected step-child Concourse A, and it's a bar. Better to eat in the Atrium area after security.

    Don't rush to baggage claim. Often, espec. during busy hours, it takes several minutes for the luggage from a flight to come out. Check boards across from the bottom of the escalator for your flight.

    This airport is a NIGHTMARE to navigate. Give yourself at LEAST 30 minutes to walk, depending on your connecting flight location. Free, fast Wi-Fi is a MAJOR plus, however.

    This airport is so effing long. Takes forever to walk from one side to the other. If you land in Terminal A and you have a tight connection in Terminal E, prepare to run and barrel thru bystanders.

    Wireless Internet is free. I suggest using it in the terminals rather than the food area. The e-terminal connection was much more reliable and fast than other places

    The Sbarro pizza has extremely thick crust and the toppings taste old. Probably best to get something else or go plain cheese. Wish I hadn't purchased it after eating

    Parking is ridiculous. They randomly close lots and decided to remove all short term parking to rebuild new decks. The shuttles are inconsistent and not well run!

    Not really a fan of connecting flights, but if you should land here, you usually have a 2/3 hr waiting period... Take the airport shuttle and see a little bit of what Charlotte, NC has to offer.
