As a frequent flyer, this is one of the best airports to leave out of (assuming your flight isn't delayed or canceled. If it is, good luck finding another flight.) No lines, friendly staff, free Wi-Fi

    Ronnie A. · June 18, 2012
  • Sasha F.

Great sandwiches from the Market, but no restaurants. Airport is small and a breeze but don't come less than 30 minutes before your flight or they may not be able to take your bag! Love this place!

    Sasha Farmer · November 7, 2012
  • Doug S.

Nov2012: CHO says to arrive at least 90 min before 5-7AM departures for parking, ticketing and security (esp. over Thanksgiving). Terminal opens at 3:30AM; airline ticket counters open by 4:15AM

    Doug S · November 19, 2012
  • Blake S.

Small airport, but don't underestimate the security line. Recommend getting there 1 hour ahead. Sometimes 3 or so flights will take off around the same time, leading to congestion.

    Blake Sirach · August 24, 2014
  • Samantha A.

Get here early if you have to check in a bag. 2 times I've had issues with them b/c of small ticketing staff. 1st time guy was on his smoke break, 2nd time the line made the check in 1 min after time

    Samantha Alleman · December 19, 2012
  • Monique K.

All of the flights aren't on the monitors so for a first time flyer I got a bit panicky until the crew assured me I was at the right gate. Pretty small, clean, and efficient.

    Monique Kelly · December 1, 2013
  • Deborah R.

Do NOT be in a hurry to get off and get your bags here...the speed (or lack thereof) of the baggage claim is disproportionately SLOW compared to the size of the airport...ONE baggage carousel.

  • rcooper

Pick up a sandwich in the store, even if you'll be in another airport for lunch during a layover. Guaranteed its a better sandwich than you'll find at other airports! You'll be glad you thought ahead.

    rcooper · December 29, 2011
  • David C.

Our family was very happy to learn that Joshua from United Airlines works at this airport now. I have a disabled Mother that loves him so much. He makes you feel so happy and you can see he cares.

Bottled drinks inside security are approx. $1.90 which is cheaper than most of the bigger airports so grab your drinks before you leave. :-)

Yes, it's a small airport, but that's welcoming for a number of travelers. Still, expect most long flights to involve a layover at a busier hub.

Small airport with one television on the first floor. Volume to low on it or don't like the channel? Controls are on the right side of the TV.
