The ancients will never fail to amaze you with their largesse and eye for beauty. Do walk a bit and see the masjid nearby and get an unique perspective on the Charminar while gazing at its reflection.

If you are not from India and accompanied by an Indian you will get special treatment. Break in front, pay more for admission, and get a special tour--you will be charged. All though worth the price.

Shop in the bylanes around charminar for bangles, China ware and other kitsch. Some of the most authentic food joints are around closer to madina circle.

Get there early for some intimate time with the monument and less crowd. Be careful while climbing the stairs they're really step and narrow.
