Brooklyn's favorite authentic Mexican.
Crowded, cramped, overpriced, boring food, depressing neighborhood.
It's good and not expensive. But don't accept guacamole it is not free ($7,50). A bit noisy but super friendly.
Very good tortillas
Great food, great ambience!
The red sangria is so damn tasty... I couldn't stay for a meal but I'm going to return b/c the food that was coming out look so....mmmmmmm cheese;)))
Guacamole is NOT good. It's watered down or something. Seating is awfully cramped. Foursquare better alter their grading system.
This place has committed the crime of being ok. Just ok. Happy hour lowers the price of ok, making it more ok
Awesome spot, Pescado Taco & Sautéed Mushroom tacos are fantastic
The margaritas are too notch! I enjoy sitting at the bar best to interact with the knowledgeable bartenders
I grew up in Texas and was craving decent Tex Mex, this hit the spot! I was surprised that the margaritas were slightly carbonated
Maybe I went on an off night? Crowded/close tables, friendly staff, short wait. Margarita clásica tasted watered down. Appetizer & entree were drowned in oil/sauce. Sides & dessert were good, though.
0.5 marg 0.5 sang
1/2 sangria 1/2 margarita pitcher all the way
Lots of people don't like to mix mole and tacos. I am not one of those people, and this place gets it. Decor is fun, too.
Cocktails, especially ese mi poli. Solid menu. Always consistent food.
Sangria on tap and fish tacos.
Split plato con between two people!
Delicious authentic Mexican. Brunch is an absurdly good value: $13 for a huge entree, juice / coffee / tea, and a pastry. Huevos ahogados is a platter of everything delicious, big enough for two.
Don't miss brunch. Tacos are great and Margaritas!
Delicious and cheap tacos— check it out for lunch!
Best Mexican place in Brooklyn.
Sangrias are wonderful, and everything I have ever ordered from here is amazing.
Happy hour tacos for $2 are good. I like the chicken mole, veggie and fish best. House margaritas on tap are kinda gross. Get a fresh made one. Guacamole is awesome too but pricey.
If you love sangria and lemonade, try the preparada! I had dreams about it!
Guacamole, sangria, tacos
Try the pork, fish, and steak tacos. And go pee, so you can see this chicken.
Never ever ever come here on a Saturday night unless you want to wait 1.5 hours. Stick to weeknights & brunch or just order delivery. Fortunately the food and cocktails are well worth a long wait.
Their tequila drinks are so perfect.
CALIFORNIANS: yeah it's "not like Californian Mexican food" but it's still pretty good! The sangria/margarita is amazing.
The tacos are top notch, and only $2 during happy hour ($3 normally). Try the sweet chicken mole, the bistec, and the carne enchilada.
2 dollar tacos
The crab torta is supreme, as is the guacamole. One of the best places on Franklin.
very chill spot. great food. Tilapia tacos were on point. The spicy mayo really is really good. Also can't go wrong with their sangria
Get the corn it's amazing. Also the verde enchiladas and guac are 👌
Needs better margaritas
Mexican corn here is tasty, thanks to the chipotle mayo. They serve cactus here, which is different & good. Quesadillas are small, but I liked the squash blossom. Shrimp ceviche is not worth ordering.
Get the chicken mole & the chiles rellenos
Favorite restaurant in the neighborhood for happy hour, dinner, takeout or brunch. Go early for brunch. The guac is delicious year-round.
Do: add smoked trout to the guac, come for the $2 taco happy hour or the amazing $6.95 lunch specials. Don't: underestimate how often you will eat here if you leave in the area/delivery range
Amazing Mexican food. Loved the guacamole with smoked trout and the crispy fish taco.
Fish tacos are really good!
Trout Guacamole. You have to try this because it's just so damn good!
Best happy hour ever. $2 tacos, $3 beers, and $6 margaritas.
The appetizers and the cocktails are the bomb!
Good food especially the fish but they should use harder shell tacos
Even though we had to be rushed to eat it was good
Try to come at a less crowded time. Everything is good. Especially the breakfast buns, brunch and bloody Maria's
